So it’s ok to give someone a wide open shot ? I coached high school for 11 years and been a basketball junkie since the 60’s and I never knew that.

Do you teach players to tackle the shooter?

Either you’re a horrible coach or you’re not a strong reader because that’s not what the dude wrote.

I’m sorry, do you really think that posts on this forum affect the outcome of basketball game?
I wholly disbelieve that you are sorry.

To the contrary, you strike me as blatantly doubtful, questioning, and every type of energy that never shows up in a fan's cheer during a game.

OF COURSE "posts [in] this forum affect the outcome of [a] basketball game." Don't ever forget it, and definitely don't confuse "affect" and "effect."

Consider that you can't be two places at once when you aren't anywhere at all, and act accordingly.

So will Hassan and Samson lob dunk .ake the highlights on ESPN Sportscenter ? That was fun - reminded me of Khalid El.Amin and Freeman oop.
Same with Samson's one handed alley-oop.

Hurley made it perfectly clear that social media attacks on players don't help the players. He doesn't care when clueless wonders try to give him advice, but the kids can be negatively impacted. They're still kids.

So while you may not think hurtful words are hurting the kids, Dan Hurley does. For me, it's only common sense, like raising a kid. You try to instill confidence in them, not attack them with uninformed and silly takes. Once again, I agree with coach.

Aka bow legged, as those from the old country call it. And yes he does.
Uhh No.

Valgus is knocked knee. Varus is bow legged.

Either way, varus alignment tends to higher risk of osteoarthritis.

It’s not the lack of food that’s concerning, it’s the lack of water. Going 3-4 days without food isn’t a big deal.
Hassan and others have been down this road before. These guys are elite athletes and young, they will be fine. Our team does non stop drills with no water breaks. Obviously aren't doing those practices now.

Hurley's practices sound similar to wrestling practices, with non stop drills and movement.

Samson was really good today, 3 straight games now.

Maybe he should stick to the Ramadan food schedule permanently. It seems to give him extra energy.
I missed the first part of game since I was watching game in a bar and they showed conclusion of St Johns.

But Samson has looked good in last few games. It could be food schedule or Samson wanting to go out in blaze of glory. Dan said that Samson has been in a funk since he bleeds blue and realizes his time at UConn is coming to a close. Samson might as well leave it alll on the floor.

I loved the big smile on his face when he exited the game.

I think with Samson he has to learn to stay on the court and stop making foolish fouls. The guy has NBA atlhletic talent to be a valuable rim runner in the NBA. But he has to be more consistent. Maybe he can end his season playing well in all of our games and goes on an all time high. He will need to continue rebound better like he has recently. He might not be on draft radars but he would be if we win the Tournament or make a deep run and he playing like a highlight film in those games. He has a smaller Derek Lively feel to his game in the way he plays. Obviously he will be lucky to be drafted in even the 2nd round but a great BE and March Madness Tournaments can help raise his draft ceiling to a 2nd rounder. It is a long shot but even Hurley mention he has an outside chance of making the NBA with his talent.

Great post game interview by Hurley. We as fans berate these kids who bring a lot of enjoyment and misery to us, especially Mahaney and Samson, Ross and Stewie. At the 5:22 mark coach explains what Mahaney has gone through since being here. He also explains Samsons journey here, very touching. But the snipers on the boneyard are sharp to second guess why he plays them the way he does. He sees these players every day and knows what they can or can not do. Mahaney in the last 2-3 games has played within himself and is looking much more comfortable, Samson is starting to exert himself these last few games. As for Stewie, Ross, Nowell they make mistakes and they are crucified. If he does not play them he risks them to the portal. Being on the bench does not resolve the problem for these very young players. We are trending in the right direction going in the BET and NCAA tournament. Please, let's root for these young players and be less critical of them. We can make some noise in the tournament. Samson, Reed, Alex are playing some of their best ball of the season. Hass is Hass, Liam needs to get back on track. Alex seems to be out of his funk and Ball has been consistent all season. The rest of the bench is stepping up too. Sometimes I think Hurley holds some things back till the end of the season, he holds his cards close to his vest. IN HURLEY WE TRUST. LET'S GO HUSKIES!

If Samson continues the way he has played these last 2 games his stock will rise. Imo, if he gets drafted NBA game is more suitable for him. He was known comming out of HS as a shooter that we have not seen here at UConn. We might see it in the tourney though. Hmmm?

I did not say that. Lol. If he continues to play the the way the last 2 games and we go deep in the tourney. Look at Tate George and what that did for him.

31-5

No, that wasn’t the key scoring run - that was how many pages the last Seton Hall post game thread was compared to this one.

No surprise - last one required major venting.
