They hit a lot of tough shots too and a team doesnt normally make every open three they did. If your not happy with the teams improvement and signs of life then I don't know what to tell ya.
yeah, you're right. how dare we expect something better from the defending NCs. let's see how many excuses we can come up with:Anyone who is mad about this game is an idiot.
aren't you the idiot who said get your facts straight?? 85 plus 1 is 86....maybe you took too many soccer balls to the head in your senior year of high schoolYou forgot that if UConn scored 85 they would have won.
yeah, you're right. how dare we expect something better from the defending NCs. let's see how many excuses we can come up with:
1. we played on the road in the big, bad carrier dome. if only this game was home, we would have won
2. syracuse shot lights out (forget the fact that they were wide open all game)....if only they didn't shoot so well, we would have won
3. drummond gets hurt...if only he didn't get hurt, we would have won
and on, and on. are we really reduced to being happy because they finally play a game where they seem to give a ?? wow, i guess i need to change my expectations
good god. UConn just lost to Syracuse by 18 points....when is that EVER, EVER acceptable???
u r funnyNo you don't.
When you're on the road, you're team has one upperclassman (who was in constant foul trouble), when you find a way to break the zone but then that player gets injured and leaves for 5 minutes, when Syracuse shoots 60% from 3. I could go on.i guarantee i know more than you about basketball. maybe one day, we won't be relegated to being happy because we played 30 minutes of good basketball....good god. god bless...i thought we were long past the point of moral victories...to each his ownWhen you're on the road, you're team has one upperclassman (who was in constant foul trouble), when you find a way to break the zone but then that player gets injured and leaves for 5 minutes, when Syracuse shoots 60% from 3. Did I want UConn to win the game? Yes.
Was I upset that the final score was 18? Yes.
Did I think this game showed marked improvement over the previous 6? Yes.
Am I going to let 4 minutes of less-than stellar defense coupled with insane Syracuse shooting overshadow everything else positive in the game? No.
No.They hit everything because they were open a lot.

I'm an idiot too. An 18 point loss and second straight blow-out in a game that was down to 2 with four minutes and change left should not be something to celebrate. Screw moral victories, let's start playing complete games and winning games. Like Will Ferrell's father said in "Kicking and Screaming", "You know what you call coming close? Losing." I'm actually much more upset by the many close loses to lesser teams this year that have put us on the outside looking in for the NCAA tourney than I am about today, but any loss is a loss. Then I am an idiot because I am not happy losing by 18 to anyone.
Not with this talent.
