80-59 now. Wow. LA getting embarrassed. Can they regroup or will this be a sweep?

Fisher waves the white flag w/ 5 1/2 minutes left. Mabrey, Brown and Vadeeva getting their first minutes in the series.

Scratch that, now it's 66-57. It's pretty much the Ogwumike's on their own right now, the rest of the Sparks are AWOL. Parker an absolute no show today.
Nneka (and in large part also Chiney) is such a professional that you'd never, ever hear her say or act out on it, but I've often wondered from time to time if she ever gets frustrated with the, -ahem- shall we say, mercurial nature of some of her teammates on the Sparks. All the way back to Stanford I've felt like Nneka is 100% stoic win or lose, and never loses her or goes off on folks, be they foes or (misbehaving) friends. But I have to think somewhere deep down inside nights like tonight have to make her want to scream into her Mohegan Sun hotel room pillow.

That could be. Candace certainly doesn't have the motor and consistency that Nneka does.

I have to apologize to Coach Laimbeer. He's a little smarter than I was giving him credit for. He moved Plum back into the starting lineup instead of Tamera Young. I don't know what it was with her nightmare season, but she's been solid in the playoffs. Hitting shots, driving and finishing consistently. I knew she was better than what we were seeing most of the year.

This game is off to a blazing fast pace. Tied at 16 at first media TO.

I absolutely love Nneka and I'm a fan of Chelsea Gray, so it's just a shame they play for a team with so many disagreeable personalities. I can't root for them ever unless they're playing Dallas, and even then it's a hard maybe. Maybe if they locked Riquna and Arike in an octagon separate from the court, then I could actually enjoy that game.

Mystics / Aces looks like a barnburner.

I thought LaToya Sanders can't shoot? She's raining jumpers.

30-26 Mystics at the end of Q1. Cloud is causing problems attacking off the dribble, doesn't look like the Aces have anyone that can stay in front of her. 10 points on 3-3 from the floor and 4-4 from the line. Sanders has 8 on 4-5 shooting. Blanced scoring for LV.

Meesseman is on fire this series. 15 points on 7-10 shooting 2:40 til halftime, following 27 points in game 1 Mystics up 49-39. Aces aren't playing bad (other than too many turnovers), but they're gonna have a hard time keeping up w/ Washington's scoring.

The Aces have been resilient. After going down 11 they responded w/ a 10-0 run, have a chance to take the lead at halftime.

50-49 Mystics at the half.

This is the best I've seen the McBride/J. Young/Plum trio play collectively in a long time.

Aces going w/ a big lineup to start Q3--Cambage, Wilson, Hamby, McBride and Plum.

We've got a ball game. 64-63 LV midway thru Q3.

Plum, gosh she's just playing so well in the playoffs. 14 points on 7-11 shooting, 6 assists and 5 rebounds.

Meesseman still hot, 21 on 8-12. EDD is a bit quiet tonight, Sanders picking up some of the slack.

Washington on a 13-0 run. From down 3 to up 10.

80-69 thru 3Q. Meesseeman w/ 27 again. Could they have the league MVP and someone else on the team wins Finals MVP? The way Emma is playing it's very possible.

Jackie Young has found her offense. 13 points on 4-5 shooting, 3-3 behind the arc, in only 8:20.

Looks like Meesseman fouled Cambage's elbow w/ her face. So Emma gets a personal but Liz gets a technical.
