Am I the only the only one that can’t root for the Aces unless they’re playin the sparks?

what if they are playing the Wings? I don't mind the Aces at all..... I pull for Hamby.

I only root for them because of Plum. Wilson is fun to watch but I wouldn't really pay attention to them if not for Kelsey.


After a nice debut, Prince had zero impact tonight. Colson and Rodgers barely played. Laimbeer continues to not push the right buttons with his perimeter rotation. Can anyone tell I don't like the job he's done coaching this season?

Seattle got off to a hot start, then went into one of their patented shooting slumps. LA has been in control most of the game, leading by 10 about 4 minutes til halftime. With a win Sparks would be 1 game ahead of the Aces for the #3 playoff seed, and get to avoid Washington.

I don't think there have been many games where both Nneka and Parker have a good game, but LA is dangerous when they do. Tonight is one of those occasions. 34 points and 19 boards thru 3 quarters on 13-23 shooting. Gray approaching a double-double w/ 10 points and 9 assist. It's a blowout, 80-51. Howard trying to do too much, only 3-13 from the floor.

Just tuned in after the US Open. Did not expect this blowout. Outscored 62-17 in paint. Can't figure the Storm out.

Yeah Chiney and Vadeeva have 12 and 10 off the bench (9-13 combined shooting). Brown just now coming in for the first time. Sparks' frontcourt has absolutely bludgeoned the Storm.

Seattle isn't that hard to figure out. They have to force turnovers and score in transition. If they don't do that, they are in trouble. Their halfcourt defense isn't that great and their halfcourt offense...unless they get hot from 3 it's pretty awful.


edit--to clarify, Seattle's FG% defense isn't great. Forcing TOs is certainly one measure of playing defense, but not the only metric (or most important probably).

Jeez Brown is almost gonna hit double digits in only 5 minutes. I think LA is up to 74 points in the paint and they have a season high 102. Seattle has 66. Brutal.

Wow! Kia Nurse and Kelsey MItchell are having a shooting contest today. Both are at 20+ before halftime on a combined 19-23. That must be entertaining to watch.

This has to be the best individual duel between 2 players all year. Maybe not the 2 player you would expect. And this is with 3 minutes left in Q3 still.

Kia has 49 and Kelsey has 44 thru 3 quarters. If she doesn't have it already Kia is almost certainly gonna end up with the highest single game scorer of the season.

You know, now that I think about it, this poll is pretty weird. I don't think the NBA does anything like this. That's kind of a who's who of players to be on an "overrated" list. Chicago Sky with a highly impactful OT comeback win over the Sun, from 10 down with 7 minutes to play. The result means the Mystics have the top seed locked up and the Sun will be #2.

I believe the Sparks have clinched the #3 seed because they own the head-to-head tiebreakers over both Vegas and Chicago. Interesting that all 6 of those games went to the home team; LA just happened to get the luck of the home court advantage in both series.

Vegas and Chicago are tied for 4th, but since Vegas owns the tiebreaker, the only way Chicago can get the first-round bye is if they can win at Washington in the season finale and Vegas loses at Phoenix.

Announcer's said Taurasi out with hamstring issue. Mercury losing their minds with the ref's and I got to admit, they have a point. One play had 3 T's.
