Self Imposed Sanctions

Don't love #1, but if this is it, we should count ourselves fortunate.

If they didn't do at least one, the NCAA would certainly step forward with more. This way, it might dissuade them.

Firing the coach who perpetrated these violations helps. Even if it wasn't figuratively the case, it was technically.

This is for the things Ollie did without UConn's knowledge, correct?

Seeing as the charges were that Ollie lied to both UCONN and the NCAA, I'd say yes.

If it stops here, this is fine but I have a feeling NCAA will add on more.

This is the same penalty as teams get for paying players, except for a postseason ban (which we may have done last year!?!). So I would not say it is easy.

So 12 scholarships for next year? That leaves 1 spot open if everyone returns (doesn't seem likely)

We basically are playing with fewer guys this year anyway with Diarra/Yakwe/Williams being out. 12 active scholarship players will be an upgrade.

Adams, Williams, Yakwe, Cobb, and Smith will all be gone. That would leave us with 3 open spots if everyone who is eligible returns, with the entrance of Akok.

I’m imagining this football PSA was keyion dixon? Glastonbury kid. That’s the only name I can think of that makes sense unless it was an AOF kid who didn’t end up coming to UConn
