Tennessee's post-game celebration was really something. Mocking Reese (licking their fingers), taking selfies on the court (how did they get phones out there so quickly?). That was a whole lot of nonsense for a team that has accomplished very little so far this season.
I get your point but I'm conflicted. I'm not a fan but I also get it at the same time.
There's something personal between these teams that brings out the pettiness.
Reese does it, some say she's being passionate and let her be who she is. Obviously Tennessee took her antics personally and let out how they felt after the game.
Is it right? To me, who's a tad old school, no. At the same time if one can do it while being celebrated and defended on social media for being her, I have a hard time saying that Tennessee can't have their moment.
In the end, this isn't how most players act. We need to remember there are a lot of great players who don't celebrate this way and this is a small subset of the culture.
