Looking forward to tomorrow's Georgia vs LSU rematch.
Georgia is probably the hottest SEC team the last half of the year in conference play. The 2 seed in the tournament is definitely getting a much tougher draw than the 3 and 4 seeds tomorrow.

LSU is way too hot and cold with their guard play overall this year. Not a great matchup for them considering Georgia's matchup zone. LSU's guards went 9-37 in their game vs Georgia. The posts were very successful though, 15-30 for 43 points

Georgia gave LSU all they wanted in Baton Rouge; now the rematch at a neutral site.

What's gotten into Kentucky all of a sudden?

Maybe Bama was already safely in, but they sure didn't do themselves a favor.

The way the teams fell it made the lower 1/2 of the bracket a minefield.

I haven't looked at the bracket projections or how soft the bubble is, so I don't know if that will knock them out or not. But it's hard to understand how a team can come out and lose a game like that when it seems like they might have a lot on the line.
It really is; A&M is awful.

Greenville is almost a home game for them. Athens is closer to Greenville than Columbia is to Greenville.

To be fair to A&M, they have had their share of injuries this year also. New coach, new team and then your hot shot freshman is out for most of the year is a recipe for disaster. Credit Joni and her players. They made no excuses and just kept working. Janiah Barker is the real deal.

I was watching this game so before those who didn't get carried away, the situation was "yes, Tatiana White lost her composure big time" and she was ejected (and deservedly so), 3 other players were ejected including White's sister who came from the far end of the bench all the way down to the Kentucky bench. Florida also had a sub waiting to come in who left the sideline and when onto the court and was ejected AND an injured player for Florida was also ejected. Kentucky had 4 bench players ejected for leaving the bench but not the player Ajae Petty who really started the incident by pushing White on a rebound and then escalated it with a "Incidental" ball to Tatiana's face. All she got was a technical.

What really cost Florida the game was KK Deans making far too many ill-advised drives to the basket that were either stuffed or errant shots. This game was fairly close until late in the 4th.
This is what I do not understand but that's how the rules work. It's a shame that the instigator gets the lesser punishment. And she gets to continue playing without any other repercussions.

Yeah it was a tough loss for Mississippi State. However credit to Texas A&M. They played a great game and deserved to win.

In contrast I’m happy with what Coach Purcell has done to date. It has been a very difficult two years for Mississippi State basketball. He inherited a depleted roster and managed to bring in contributing players in a short amount of time. Projections for the team before the game were a 9 seed. I’d be surprised if this loss dropped MSU completely out.

I don’t think they’ll fall completely out. Utah, who were co-champions of the P12 lost in their first round. That’s why it’s March Madness.

It’s that time of the year where nothing you did all year matters but more what you do in that very moment. It’s win or go home mode now

Agreed. I'm not ready to anoint him a great coach but I can't be upset with how the year went given the chaos the program has been in since 2021. I just hope for stability for a couple of years and to be in the top quarter of the SEC, which will be tough with Dawn, Kim, and soon Vic headed back to the conference.

I think Taylor is a decent coach too who just had her work cut out for her this year. It will take a little time but I think she will get A&M up and running.

Congrats to both Texas AM and Kentucky. Crummy seasons for both but they are still at it. Hopefully, these losses don't keep miss st and Al out of NCAA.

You cannot compare Washington St. to Texas A&M or Kentucky. The Cougs are a Tourney team. Really not a bad loss for Utah.

With Legette-Walker (sic?) out for personal reason had some impact to their season too.
