Season Tix deadline Extended...

My buddy was told he can’t keep the same seats next year because he got the cheap tickets, even if he pays the new price for those same seats. Does this sound right? Anyone hear this?

I believe that to be the case for the cheapest seats ( $90 tix, $25 donation) for mens XL. All others can be re-newed - I do not know the same price is guaranteed (?).

My rep mentioned that to me when I purchased XL seats.

Why is the process for season tickets SO complicated? This is not unique to UConn.

If I were doing this from scratch a ticket rep would be unnecessary. Seems like it should be as simple as this seat cost x amount. Click and pay. You could do it on Amazon.

I realize what I describe is simplistic. But it is outrageous how complicated this stuff is.

I kept my ticket level in both places (better in Gampel than in XL) but moved my seats just a few rows down in each place

There has to be a hierarchy in the selection process. The school needs to leverage the demand for tickets to maximize revenue.

It is complicated, but the best thing is having a choice of where to sit. I like being able to choose seat location and price.

I used to hate ordering tickets and being assigned a seat. Having choices is a great thing.

True. And donations vs time being a donor makes it complicated as well

It is best for all parties (donor, fans, players & school) to reward consistent & more generous donors.

I just selected - we couldn't swing the increased seat donations for our old section, so had to migrate into the 200s. Got some good seats even though they pale in comparison to the old seats. How is UConn handling the seat donations, will they bill us? It wasn't part of the transaction.

I was told yesterday on the phone that the donation costs would be handled at a later time by the foundation.

I have not yet gotten to my seat selection time, but I can tell you that when I purchased the season tix back in June, the tickets and seat donation hit my cc a few weeks apart.

Any way to see inventory after picking?
I was told no
Thought something might open up after my selection time, but apparently the system doesn’t have that functionality

I just upgraded. Was able to improve my Gampel seats in the same seat donation level. You can be logged in before your time starts, you just can’t pick the seats until your specified time. There is a 30 minute countdown that starts as soon as you load one seat in your cart. You will need to deselect your original seats during the confirmation process.

Selected this afternoon and was able to get a solid 3 set in 119. Had 4x uppers and dropped one to make the upgrade - very few 2x and 4x options in the lower bowl corners. Definitely agree with what others have observed - 107/112/119/124 seem to be very attractive given the new pricing w/ substantially lower seat donations compared to rest of lower bowl. I didn't buy seasons last year but previously held a 4 set about midway up 112 and recall having plenty of choices at the time - I had far fewer options on the corners this go-around, so it does appear more people are moving away from the higher donation areas (i mean, heck, base line court side is still available if you want to shell out $3k/seat).

Got me thinking about the old priority point levels and donor stats they used publish in the donor guides. Could only find a couple I had handy, but sad to see the direction and cant imagine how bad these figures would have looked last year...

update: you can keep any seat for the following year, as long as you pay the associated cost, which may go up due to the Big East move.

Do we think there will be this relocation option every year?

@midtownHUSKY I found a couple donor books from 2011 and 2016 to help fill in. Crazy to see how the numbers have dropped over the years.

Anyone have a time today? Interested to see what the seating chart looks like.

I just upgraded. Lots of corner 200's left. I moved from the 10th row up to the 3rd row. (different corner)

Not much left on the sidelines until you get way up there from what I saw earlier today. The cheap seats in the 200s are a great deal this year.
