I’m hearing Adidas also paid a non-athlete so it was ok. He had a summer job at their store in Tucson, but still...

The NCAA has launched an investigation into the Arizona men's basketball program, a university spokesman confirmed to the Arizona Daily Star in Tucson on Friday night.

My guess is that the Ncaa is just waiting for the Fbi to finish and they'll use their findings to doll out any punishment. They've got enough egg on their face to warrant not dragging this out any longer than need be. There problem will be if the Fbi then brings more charges related to Nike, et. al and this drags on and on. If schools like Az and Lsu do not clean house aka Louisville they will look terrible. Question is if they care or not. Still curious how Az is holding onto their recruiting class thru this and likey looking at post season bans etc. .......unless guys have already been paid?

The day after a jury ruled in the second and final trial resulting from the FBI’s investigation into corruption in college basketball, University of Arizona President Robert Robbins gave head coach Sean Miller a vote of confidence.

Wilcox also told the Athletic that the NCAA aimed to “get it right” as it begins going full-speed into the investigation process, having appeared to have held back while the federal proceedings were playing out.
“It’s go time,’’ Wilcox said. “We’re not going to be holding back. We’re moving forward with everything possible in the arsenal we have to collectively change the culture that has come to light.’’<<

Well Mark Emmert just gave Stan Wilcox a hefty pay raise for solving the NCAAs problems. "The Feds wouldn't or couldn't give us all the information we needed to complete our investigation."

Yep. It gives them a built in excuse to do nothing but slap a few wrists and then it's back to business as usual. The BB tournament is their sacred cash cow. They won't do anything that jeopardizes it.

Reading more into the article and looking at the statement, this is extremely deceiving... Arizona isn’t denying there’s an investigation, just that technically there’s no *new investigation “started” or “launched”.
