Don't care about the rankings at this point. I care about UConn getting a #1 seed in the Albany regional and winning six games in a row in the tourney.

And obviously, I'm excited about Duke-south Carolina. This game matches up two teams UConn will be playing within a couple of months. And I'll be going to both games!
 
So is this the game thread? We're about to tip off!
 
Duke playing some solid ball early. Williams is playing.

And I'll be the one to say it: Rebecca Greenwell is a cutie patootie.
 
Duke looking pretty good. Announcer mentioned she thinks there are as many SC fans there as Duke
 
I mean...it's early, but I don't think South Carolina looks like a #1 team. I know it doesn't matter, it's December.

Duke has some height, especially with Williams playing. SC seems to have problems with teams that can match their height.

Not overly impressed with either team so far.
 
Williams with some nice blocks so far.

Wilson wear her shorts shorter than any basketball player I've seen in a while. (Again, doesn't matter. Just an observation.)
 
13-7 Duke at the under-12.

This is VERY early in both the game and the season, but I would be surprised if the Gamecocks match up with UConn. But it's too early to say anything conclusively.

Yeah, I don't see it. Especially at UConn. Not much in terms of outside shooting, and their defense looks suspect.
 
SC's issues are on offense. That much is evident at this point.

But they didn't call a foul...her player blocked the layup attempt and then the Duke player recovered it and put it back in. I couldn't figure out what she was upset about...

Someone needs to inform the Duke assistant coach that Ugly Sweater Day isnt until this Friday.

South Carolina is playing a pedestrian game against a vulnerable Duke squad. Notre Dame is a different opponent.

And Syracuse? That was even more perplexing.
 
Neither of these teams look very good. It is early in the season, but not that early!
 
Oh my lord. The ineptitude is almost as bad as the UConn-SMU FB game yday.

Man there are a lot of SC fans there...which really negates the whole home-court advantage thing for Duke :)
 
I'm actually impressed with Duke considering they lost Jones. I forgot about that. Stevens is good, Greenwell is good. Too bad JPM can't coach.
