This may be one of the greatest "bad hot take" threads in BY history.

not saying the person who wrote this is inaccurate, but how does he get the news 1st over someone that covers the team?

Not that surprised aside than the timing...she had long odds in front of her getting meaningful playing time

I can think of a few reasons she decided to enter the portal. No sense speculating. We will know the reason or we won't.

So - best of luck to Saylor as she moves on with her life and collegiate career.

Not surprised here either. I thought the writing was on the wall last year when she couldnt get minutes on a smaller roster. If she couldnt carve out a role then, I didn't see her beating out Ducharme or Fudd going forward.

Not surprised here either, although the timing seems odd since I think she'll now burn this year of eligibility.

She won't burn a year of eligibility since she hasn't played any minutes.

She didn't play in game 1 so I dont think so.
Thanks for clarifying...so is she eligible starting in Jan or would she have to wait until next fall?

So, if Dorka comes back and no further transfers in/out, UConn will have (a more manageable) 12 next year.

Not sure what the rule is now. I would think Jan, but not sure. Also, if she's injured she might wanna rest/rehab and be 100% next fall.

Not surprising. It seemed inevitable that someone would leave given the logjam for minutes, it was just a matter of who and when. Hopefully she gets healthy and finds success elsewhere. Reminds me of Lexi Gordon, a player who likely wouldn’t have ever cracked the rotation, but found success at good power 5 programs. It has to be hard to be a recruit ranked around 30th. At Uconn you are going to have to beat out top 5 talent to play, and likely aren’t content to ride the pine for 4 years.
