Lmao okI wasn‘t wrong, he got hurt. Otherwise he’d likely have started every game. Both of them are very good, different, players.

This is the most accurate post in the history of the Boneyard.I got a kick out of this board thinking he was the answer for last month, and kept my mouth shut. I will continue that. Other than saying: Why don't people think this stuff through?
Because odds are, you're going to want your best 5 guys available in winning time of a close game. Why would the coach be blamed for a player fouling out? The coach putting him on the bench because he has 4 fouls is the coach fouling his player out prematurely. It's like the coach is playing under his own rules that 4 fouls forces a player to leave the game. Why not use all the fouls the rulemakers have given you?
Injury was a huge setback. It’s hard to work your way in to a deep rotation this late in the season. I like Karaban a lot, was never down on him. We need them both, and I expect they will be key pieces next year.I mean it’s a small amount of PT to compare but AK is a better basketball player from what we’ve seen. We can run offense through him he’s good with the ball and can pass. We know he can make shots and big ones at that. He has a ton of ground to make up will be tough to get minutes.
Your ability to never come within 1000 miles of reality when it comes to Samson Johnson is truly breathtaking.I wasn‘t wrong, he got hurt. Otherwise he’d likely have started every game. Both of them are very good, different, players.
You have no idea whatsoever what kind of player he is or will be. Why are you rooting against UConn Huskies? Go find another team to disparage.Your ability to never come within 1000 miles of reality when it comes to Samson Johnson is truly breathtaking.
Yes neither of us has any idea what kind of player he is or will be, yet somehow you’ve made tons of posts telling us what kind of player he is or will be.You have no idea whatsoever what kind of player he is or will be. Why are you rooting against UConn Huskies? Go find another team to disparage.
Why did this thread become Karaban vs. Johnson? I think Karaban is a really smart player with a terrific shot. I also think Samson has talent and can help the team.
Maybe because his name is Samson?I got a kick out of this board thinking he was the answer for last month, and kept my mouth shut. I will continue that. Other than saying: Why don't people think this stuff through?
No possibiltyThere is a possibility next year starting frontcourt is Clingan, Johnson and Karaban.
Very intriguing possibilities.
Doesn’t seem like he’ll get run in important games/ranked teams. Being the 10th man on a really good team often means you’ll be the odd man out when the rotation shrinks.Any idea why Samson didn't get time vs Marquette ?
If he’s healthy, he can contribute. Just play the role.Doesn’t seem like he’ll get run in important games/ranked teams. Being the 10th man on a really good team often means you’ll be the odd man out when the rotation shrinks.
??Any idea why Samson didn't get time vs Marquette ?
In basketball you lose the option of redshirting with 1 second of game time. You can apply for a medical exemption but that's in the case of a season ending injury, which wouldn't apply hereAnyone know what the rules are on redshirting? Is eligiblility determined by number of games played? Wondering if they are trying to keep that option on the table for him.
Saw him during a timeout. Pretty sure he was in warmupsWas he even on the bench. I didn’t pay much attention but don’t remember seeing him
He has to be practicing with the team, it seems strange that he got no time.Came in against Butler, nothing against Xavier though.
Tough ask to expect him to be able to work his way right back into the rotation after missing so much time. Hopefully they’re able to work him in more as the season progresses and he is further removed from his injury.
I support this only because along with 6’6 Stephon Castle at PG, that’d be a comically large lineupThere is a possibility next year starting frontcourt is Clingan, Johnson and Karaban.
Very intriguing possibilities.
Was he in street clothes on the bench or was he benched? Injured?Anyone else notice that Samson didn’t get a single minute vs Xavier?
He was supposed to split time with Alex Karaban. Karaban is very difficult to take out of the games . Very smart and talented playerSomething is amiss here. He was slated a starter at season beginning right? He’s healthy and cleared to play certainly could go 10 minutes, so what gives? Please don’t tell me he’s not conditioned enough to to play 10 out of 40 minutes. Must be Hurley doesn’t think he can help that much?
And the backcourt would be Jackson and Castle (assuming Hawkins enters the draft)? There is a possibility next year starting frontcourt is Clingan, Johnson and Karaban.
Very intriguing possibilities.
