Let’s say she comes to us and shoots 100 three pt shots per hi year instead of 200 because Dawn let’s her shoot only those 3 pointers that she is wide open for.. would her percentage increase? I think it would.Despite her terrible shooting percentage, on the right team she could be one that force’s defenses to play her honest. She’s already super tough down low despite being undersized so if she can add a consistent 3 point shot and continue to hone on her other skills I think the best is still to come for her. A lot of people forget she’s so young still. The right coach will make her even better.
Check the players Social Media. Generally they tell you who they are interested in..As of yet I've not seen an indication that Dawn wants to ?
@visitingcock spot on analysis. ..but I believe the other selling point for her to consider would be--being able to play on the perimeter..Let’s say she comes to us and shoots 100 three pt shots per hi year instead of 200 because Dawn let’s her shoot only those 3 pointers that she is wide open for.. would her percentage increase? At DePaul, she is the opponents defensive focus. Thus, she is being covered on many of her 3 pt attempts. Againt our team, opponents are forced to sag on Cardosa. Thus, they would not be able to pick Morrow up on corner threes and she can still crash the boards - like Kiki did.
It all depends on two things: (1) Morrow’s jwillingness to play for a team where she is not getting near as many offensive touches; and (2) whether Dawn believes she will work as a team player rather than a me player without upsetting team chemistry.
I have my doubts, but I’m not Dawn.I , of course, trust her judgment.
She gets her 25/12 mostly when playing within 10-12 feet of the hoop. When she freelances out to the perimeter, as she so often did last season, her offensive efficiency dropped significantly.@visitingcock spot on analysis. ..but I believe the other selling point for her to consider would be--being able to play on the perimeter..

UConn fans can certainly understand how an unexpected loss shakes fans’ confidence but South Carolina doesn’t need to get back into the national title talk because you never left it.Hailey Van Lith jumped up to my #1 want on the wishlist. We would jump back into the national title talk if we added her. A starting 5 of Johnson - Van Lith - Hall - Feagin - Cardoso would be lethal!

@GamecockFan, you guys have not left the “national title talk” discussion at all.Hailey Van Lith jumped up to my #1 want on the wishlist. We would jump back into the national title talk if we added her. A starting 5 of Johnson - Van Lith - Hall - Feagin - Cardoso would be lethal!
Sure feels like it. Reading social media it's like we never even happened.@GamecockFan, you guys have not left the “national title talk” discussion at all.
That’s why I only read the “Boneyard Newz”. And, truth be told, I don’t have any other social media access! Sounds weird, but it’s the truth!!Sure feels like it. Reading social media it's like we never even happened.
Has Nikki's health rebounded? I haven't heard much since she left State.Love Coach Fred. He’s a hoot and a half. Players love him. Sad to see him leave but very happy for him. Always wondered why a program hasn’t looked at Dawn’s staff for hires. Big loss. Going to need a new bigs coach. Will be interesting to see who they get. Will it be a former Gamecock player or coach like Asia Dozier, Nikki McCray, Cynthia Jordan, etc?

Asia would be pretty cool as an alum but jumping from HS coaching to the stage that South Carolina is on is a big, big one.
No doubt Dawn whomever Dawn hires will be awesome, though. Complete and total trust in her for sure.
Happy that she’s feeling, and doing much better.NMP spent the last season with Rutgers so she is still coaching.

We live in a “what have you done for me lately“ period.Sure feels like it. Reading social media it's like we never even happened.
Well, I feel we have the players to be in the national title discussion but I think having an elite guard with some experience would push us from the fringe talk to right in the thick of it.@GamecockFan, you guys have not left the “national title talk” discussion at all.
I also wonder if she can play defense at the level required by Dawn? She fills the spot but I don't see her as the right fit personality wise for SC. She strikes me as a more of a "me" than "we" player based on some comments she's made.
Let’s be real….the remaining players are ALL going to test Dawn’s defensive requirements. Better get some shooters..I also wonder if she can play defense at the level required by Dawn?
We did recruit her heavily out of high school, so there is a relationship there. I’d expect SC to reach out.Would love one of those Oregon guards, Te-Hina Paopao or Endyia Rogers, to pair up with Raven. Prolific scorers, shot 42.4% and 38.7% respectively from behind the arc. Social media assumed Rogers to LSU when she pulled out of the draft but didn’t immediately go in the portal. Now that she is in it, maybe her recruitment is opened up. She’s from Dallas and Paopao is a Cali girl.
