Ok it starts tomorrow so I will talk about something I saw on YouTube a show. This nice kid Horvath whose show it is was playing 9 holes with Gary Player who is 89. It was unbelievable. He hits it laser straight and decently long. He works out is in great shape and gives tips along the way. Terrific guy Gary is. It’s a treat so watch it if you can. Tomorrow talk golf!

I’m here. Getting up at 4:30 am to try and get to the first tee.
Am jealous! Love that course (even tho it kicked my butt in the late 80s before the renovation!) Went to the US Open 2002...what a treat! Enjoy!

I'm over in mainland Europe for work right now. First group goes off a little after 1pm. Should make for a good excuse to for a half day at work today.

That 3rd match is going to be tough, but hopefully the U.S. can pull out the other 3 in the morning session

These foursomes have recently decided the tournament. If you take a look at last decade or so of Ryder Cups, the home team usually wipes the floor since they try to game to course for em as much as possible.

I don’t know what it is, but something feels off about this USA team. Maybe it was the hype video comparing the “fight” and “resilience” to that of 9/11 firefighters. Meanwhile Europe was just hanging out having a few beers and laughs.

Hope I’m wrong. Bring her home boys.

I must admit I’m very disappointed in Keegan not throwing Cam Young, a local kid who was playing great as of late, out there in the morning to get the crowd even more revved up. Morikawa? Not liking it but I’m sure he has a plan we will see.

I was at a practice round @Brookline (it was part of my job interview!) and have been a fan of the Euros ever since. The US team was dead serious and seemingly annoyed at any attempt of crowd interaction while the Euros were smoking cigars and joking with spectators. Clarke, Westwood and Jimenez in particular were having a blast with the crowd. It might've been more fun than actually watching the matches.

I hated the Morikawa pick from the minute it was announced. He hasn't been good in two years. And is a stiff.
Exactly....it's not 2023. He's the 144th ranked putter and has 1 top 20 since the PGA (where he finished 50th). I'm so sick of this "need ryder cup experience" mantra...why do we need experience playing like dog poop? Meanwhile Young and Griffin have been playing great.

Also, who the hell does our statistics....Europe says Molinari all the time...why does our incompetent team get to be anonymous??

EU puts Fitzy who's never won a foursome event and he kills it...they look at recent play...I think our guys go by the name.
