He literally told Jordan to switch to the wrong club. Jordan looked confused and pissed before and after he hit the shot. WTH was that? The massacre in Rome. Americans being fed to the Lions.
 
I stopped watching. My goodness, this was embarrassing. I know the home country has an advantage because of their access to certain course layouts before the visiting country and boy did they get that right. Seems like the course plays to the strengths of the Euro team and for our players not sure they have any strengths at this point. Wow the USA just got punched hard and we do not have it in us to fight back. I was really looking forward to Sunday. Waking up early and watching the Ryder Cup up until football starts. But now it will be over before I wake up.

Cantlay showing some stones! Ripped a W from Rory & gave him an L. I like the Americans chances tomorrow. We always dominate in Singles. Just need to channel Brookline '99. I like the odds they are giving the US underdogs. Put 10 big ones on the American upset tomorrow. Good theatre at the end.
 
So the USA has to go 8-3-1 in singles tomorrow to keep the cup. Anyone think they can do that?

Cantlay and Homa were the studs of the play today....Sheffler, Brooks and Speith were total no shows..cannot believe that Zack had Speith hit that 3-wood...

Can’t believe he had Spieth out there at all. Especially in alternate shot in the morning when yesterday he couldn’t have found the fairway walking to it never mind hitting a fn golf ball. Zach has hurt himself but some players have been dreadful.

I just read that, BS. That’s why we suck he’s more worried about getting paid than playing for his damn country and beating the Euros. Hey he was fantastic this afternoon, but if true that’s a huge issue. He doesn’t have enough money already?

Would really like to know more about Rory/Lowry/Cava/Bones argument that spilled from 18 to the parking lot? Seems they just reacted to a bunch of heckling from the fans about Cantlay not wearing a hat. It’s okay for them to dance, laugh and fist pump but how dare the USA have a celebration?

Someone asked him about the hat. Said it doesn't fit. LOL. 2021 too. Cava was celebrating in front of Rory with his back toward him. Lowery found it too distracting toward Rory as he was putting next. Can't remember if he was starting to line up the putt.

Cantlay showed up Rory & the Romans the last few holes today. The hat tipping to the crowd in front of the European players (before Rory had a chance to putt) was classic! Poor Rory got into a shouting match in the parking lot. Watch the video. LoL. The US have played like garbage, but this gives them a chance!

I like the singles matchups. Theyd have to all play well obviously, but it’s not impossible.

At the very least, make them sweat the last 4 matches.
 
The guy waved a hat. Going after a 60 year old caddie in a parking lot seems like a gross overreaction. The Euros can dish it out but can't take it. Every Ryder Cup the Americans get lectured about decorum yet the Euros act like they won the Masters after every 6 foot putt that halves a hole on the front 9. Sergio, Poulter, and Westwood was the thinnest skinned person in history and yet they still bring up Brookline like it was the crime of the century. Id like to see anyone make an 80ft putt to win the Ryder Cup on 18 after a huge comeback and then not run around like a maniac. It was 24 years ago and a few of their players weren't even born. Let it go

Not true. Zach gave him data that the captains had about how the hole was playing. He just said in his press conference he would never tell any of the players what club to hit. He was emphatic about it. He would lose all credibility with Spieth and the team if he lied about that after the fact.

Did they tell him that only Rory could reach it with a 3wood? Lots of drivers were short. Jordan doesn’t have that extra gear.

I think Zack was just trying to cover his ass in the interview. Spieth didn't want to switch clubs. If Zach didn't come over, he wouldn't have. He looked so uncomfortable standing over the shot. If that was coaching, then I'd rather hit a blind shot into the green!!

Almost like Spieth actually has the choice to play the club he wants.

What is Johnson going to do? Pull him off the course in the middle of a round.

Players have to sack up and take ownership of their game.

Spieth picked the club is the point. It was his mistake.i can't speak on the data he was given by Zach or his caddie. I think we all know he is not a bomber. No idea why he chose 3wood. The announcers assumed about the conversation and everyone just took it as gospel.
