It’s easy to take this approach with Allen after they seen what he did against us. We didn’t have the luxury. No one here thought he was capable of dropping 37. The rest of the team was also 7-11 from 3. That’s a big sample size
Stop making excuses

He scored 20+ In 16 games prior to our game
Scored 30+ in 4 games
Scored 41 once this year

During a a stretch from 1/15 to 2/21 he had this crazy stretch

1/15: 41 pts
1/20: 2 pts
1/22: 26 pts
1/29: 28 pts
2/3: 22 pts
2/5: 33 pts
2/10: 20 pts
2/12: 24 pts
2/16: 20 pts
2/19: 30 pts
2/21: 19 pts

During that 11 game stretch he averaged 24.1 pts/gm if you take out the 2 point clunker it’s 26.3 pt/gm

Anyone scouting this team knew Teddy Allen and what he does he wasn’t a secret. Hurley and the staff failed miserably game planning for him

Man, if Saint Peter's finishes this off, they'll be playing in the Sweet Sixteen in Philly, just a 90 jaunt from Jersey City...

Let's Go Peacocks!!!
If they had more than 80 fans this might matter lol.

There are no excuses. I’ve said there’s no reason we should’ve lost that game. We’re having a nuanced conversation. Both can be true. One that we should’ve won regardless. And 2 Allen played the game of his basketball life and made multiple circus terrible shots. While his teammates made it hard to double him by knocking down 77% of their 3’s. Be grey, not black and white. It’s where the truth lies. It’s not Allen they weren’t prepared for. It’s his offensively challenged teammates turning into Stephen Curry’s supporting cast.

I’m on Richmond +4 and Memphis +10. Memphis is a really tough matchup for Zaga this early. They have equal talent.
If I bet a buck for every time you’ve been wrong, I could happily retire.

how about looking at some film and calling coaches in their conference? I am sure Mussleman knew a lot about Vermont

They’re team played uncharacteristically efficient on offense. We should’ve won that game regardless, we have significantly more talent and have beaten better teams. But NMST played WAY above their heads.

Saying Musselman benefited from watching the NMSU-UConn film isn't giving Hurley an excuse, but let's face it- he had a fresh sample to work with.

It's crazy, I just checked Verbal Commits and according to the website, three of Saint Peter's starters, K.C. Ndefo, Hassan Drame and Matthew Lee, had only one D1 offer: Saint Peter's.

Ndefo isn't just the best player on the Peacocks: he might be the best defender in the tournament.

Memphis is scary, if they hold off the Zags from spurt ability they will be right there at the end. No reason to think they can't make it to the final four if they knock off the Zags.

I remember some guy like 30 playing for a small school after a military assignment
I vaguely remember someone on BYU within the past decade too, but can't remember for the life of me now

Looking forward to the St. Peter's/Murray St. TV analaysts eating their words...never gave the Peacocks a chance, yet they lead the entire game and won by 10.
