Sometimes I like to see the team that beat us, beat their next opponent(s), but that was completely off the table after Allen's classless late game antics and comments. I'm a Razorbacks fan tonight.
 
Arkansas is much better prepared and doesn’t look like they are sleepwalking

nMst really struggling on offense. Difficult to watch knowing UConn should be playing

The other guys on NMST are missing completely wide open layups and shots. Those guys made >50% of their shots (and 70% of their 3s) against us.
 
It’s easy to take this approach with Allen after they seen what he did against us. We didn’t have the luxury. No one here thought he was capable of dropping 37. The rest of the team was also 7-11 from 3. That’s a big sample size

That is certainly true. UConn's loss was Arkansas's gain as far providing plenty to analyze in preparation for this game.

Like we haven’t talked about Thursday’s debacle enough on these boards. Who cares about what they did to us at this point? I am pointing out how Arkansas came out with a plan to stop Allen. No way he is getting 37 tonight.

Defensively Arkansas is playing better than we did, but offensively can't really say that had a much better 1st half .. they missed a bunch of shots and bunnies too.

Arkansas is making the other guys hurrying their shots and being uncomfortable. They are missing a ton of shots they made against us. It is ridiculous this team beat us. I still can't get over the fact that we lost to this NMST team.

I’m watching the game. And NMST is missing a bunch of the same shots they made against us. They’ve regressed to their mean. We probably got their best game all season
 
This is the chance you risk in the tournament. Getting a team on their best night. It wasn’t only Allen that beat us. The rest of their team played above the back of their player cards

It was an extreme outlier on offense, and we still should have beat them despite that.

None of the TV analysts gave St. Peter's a shot against Murray St. but the Peacocks have had control of this game since halfway through the first half and are up 11 with 18 minutes to go in the second half.

He scored 20+ In 16 games prior to our game
Scored 30+ in 4 games
Scored 41 once this year

During a a stretch from 1/15 to 2/21 he had this crazy stretch

1/15: 41 pts
1/20: 2 pts
1/22: 26 pts
1/29: 28 pts
2/3: 22 pts
2/5: 33 pts
2/10: 20 pts
2/12: 24 pts
2/16: 20 pts
2/19: 30 pts
2/21: 19 pts

During that 11 game stretch he averaged 24.1 pts/gm if you take out the 2 point clunker it’s 26.3 pt/gm

Anyone scouting this team knew Teddy Allen and what he does he wasn’t a secret. Hurley and the staff failed miserably game planning for him

There are no excuses. I’ve said there’s no reason we should’ve lost that game. We’re having a nuanced conversation. Both can be true. One that we should’ve won regardless. And 2 Allen played the game of his basketball life and made multiple circus terrible shots. While his teammates made it hard to double him by knocking down 77% of their 3’s. Be grey, not black and white. It’s where the truth lies. It’s not Allen they weren’t prepared for. It’s his offensively challenged teammates turning into Stephen Curry’s supporting cast.
