Expected. At least i did.

That is a fair quote, but I feel Dan sometimes doesn't give these guys enough burn before garbage time to get a feel what they could do in a game that is still competitive. You can't argue on the results - I just think in most instances mixing a guy in a little earlier or in the first half of a blowout would have been good for all involved and the results would still be the same. I would have loved to see him run 4-5 minutes with some of our starters to see how he would have played with them. From the little I saw from him (even the one game he did get decent minutes in the middle of a game when Dan Hurley was pissed at someone) I think he could have been a valuable role player for us who could have worked himself into a more prominent role. From the article in the Courant yesterday:
Hurley said it’s possible some players will transfer out of the program.
“There’s always that potential, there are players where our role for them won’t line up with what they see for themselves,” Hurley said. “We’ve got such a great organization, the last thing we want to do is mislead our players about what they can expect. We have the culture we have because of our honesty.”
Wished he would have stayed. Seemed like a good teammate, and a very good shooter in the limited time we saw from him.
A 3 or 4 year project just isnt a thing anymore is it. Which may be for the best. Sometimes a 3 or 4 year project works out. Guys like Hilton really developed late. But i also think of guys like Antric Klaiber who never really played. The Antric Klaiber types would of probably done better at a less competitive school.
I wish Apostolos the best. What slightly bums me out about this news is that I was eager to see how he could play at UConn with more playing time because he definitely looks like he has a good skill set, but not the strength and athleticism. Which means watching him play more and it being at UConn was an oxymoron. He is only going to play more somewhere else, most likely a mid major.I wish there was a path for minutes for him here. Wouldn’t be surprised to hear he’s MAAC POY in a couple years

He always looked so good in his limited minutes. I really hoped he was going to get a chance to be UConn’s shooter off the bench, like Calcaterra.Sure. We won 4 others without him.The question is, can we win an NC without him?

His handle was one of the beat thing about him. He would be creating offense in junk time and running the team. I think his defense wasn't that good but of course that would of improved over time. Sad to see him go as I said before bit home him the best wherever he lands. He needs to play in a similar style offense. He has the athleticism and the shooting down, but it was his handle that betrayed him multiple times.
Just realized he was from Xanthi, Greece; and given his name, no doubt the grandson of Greek speaking refugees / resettlement from Turkey.
Would be great at FairfieldI love Apostolos. I am fascinated to see the level of offers he gets
Two years daily experience of Dan Hurley practices against the best in the USAThis kid can play and was an awesome teammate. He's going to do well wherever he ends up and I'll be following his career.
Won two national championships in his first two seasons and now will have his choice of where to get serious playing time, not a bad life.
Going for an electrical engineering degree so lots of great academic schools as well. There's a lot to like with this kid.I’m thinking even bigger school.
Holy obscure info, Batman! Totally forgot about Chris Fleming. Jersey kid. Was he in the same recruiting class as Marc Suhr? Did he even step on the court? Fleming is actually the lead assistant coach of the Chicago Bulls now.I'd like to see his story turn out similar to something that happened a little more than three decades ago.
We brought in a kid (Fleming) who was a dead eye three point shooter but couldn't defend at a level to get a lot of court time his freshman year, so he transferred to Richmond.
As a 15 seed, his three point shooting played a major role in knocking off second seeded Syracuse in the opening round.
I'd like nothing better than AR to lead a mid major to an opening round upset of one of our enemies.
I think people may be underrating his ability. The kid can ball. I think he could play 15-20mpg in the A10 right now
I hope he lands on a A10 team and can compete for a starting role. Bro can absolutely play and contribute for a decent mid-major.He's better than that, he can be a starter and play 25-30 mpg on some A10 teams.
