I posted in the other thread that I was feeling a commitment from RP today. 20 minutes later he commits!!!!

He needs to learn what the true meaning of "20 minutes" is before we can truly accept him...but I'll let it slide this time. Welcome to UConn!

This is huge. A great get that is 100% KO. About time we caught a break.

So was it Herbst's or Manuel's fault that we didn't get him originally?

I kid, I kid.

Great get and absolutely will help bridge the transistion next year. Helps with developing Samuel and will help push Napier and Boatright in practice and for game preparation.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

great get!

also will help bridge the gap from this coming year (2013-2014) to the following (2014-2015).

First burger boy since...? Kemba/AO?

Awesome for KO! Anybody know the reason for him transferring? Just curious

The 2014 class is incredibly important given the number of guys we have to replace after next year. Starting it off with a McDonald's All-American with a year of big-time basketball under his belt (and another year of practicing against our guards) is a pretty good start.

^ Also this will help us get the 2014 high level kids to really look at us hard. Being able to come here and play with Boat, OC and RP in your back court is not a bad thing.

hard to compare rankings since classes in different years are stronger than others but Purvis had an RSCI ranking of #17, which players from the JC era were ranked higher? AD and Rudy were the only two I know for sure, CV was #18, can't come up with anything conclusive on Donyell and Khalid but I know they were both top 20 guys. Great get for KO considering all the fuss that is being made about the conference situation, I expect more to follow for the '14 class.

Edit: Kemba was #15 and AO was #16, I figured they would be around #20.

Good now we don't need a pg in the 2014 class. Learning to play pg from SN and KO could make this kid scary good with his athleticism and scoring potential

Excellent! I hope this gets some momentum going for some of the other big names we are after. I can't wait to see him on the court after another year and a half of practicing and lifting.
