If you follow the Sam V trail he’s always felt like a kid who’s skillset is going to translate really well the Hurley’s system. I’m really excited to watch this kid play in a Husky uniform.Bottom line, I think many of us were given the impression that Furphy would be the equivalent of around a top 100 player if playing in USA. It appears he is better than that. It doesn’t mean too much just yet, we just have to wait and see.

I don’t put much faith in the rankings anyway. Nowell had a similar ranking to Ray Allen, and Emeka was barely top 100. If Furohy is around top 30 - we’re not getting Ray level talent, but hopefully a better fit than Nowell. For you maybe. After reading up on him and seeing highlights before this week, I had him as top 50ish player. After this week, he's a top-30 recruit. At least IMO.
Why would I have been talking about Bundalo? He's not playing for team Germany?I am - Hannes sounds like a composer. No idea who he is. Time to hit up Google.

Which mullet? One of them, the decent one who is very turnover prone is going to Cuse.
I think rankings have gotten a lot better. In the last ten years, over half of the top 20 composite ranked guys actually made the NBA. That's huge.I don’t put much faith in the rankings anyway. Meh, adams was ranked about 50 spots too high. Those of us who watched tape knew Furphy could play, biggest question was athleticism.I think rankings have gotten a lot better. In the last ten years, over half of the top 20 composite ranked guys actually made the NBA. That's huge.
Totally agree on Adams - looks like a kid that is going to need time to mature up physically, so if needing instant PT, se la vi.Meh, adams was ranked about 50 spots too high. Those of us who watched tape knew Furphy could play, biggest question was athleticism.
On offense its not an issue, as he uses change of speeds and has ability to put opponent on hip. Very composed.
On defense he showed enough to me least that his IQ and positioning for help d will make him asset on that end as well, just like Cam. Despite not being quick. My only hesitancy is if hes put on an island in man 45 feet from hoop will he get burned like our numerous turnstiles last year without a shot blocker. I think he’’ll be fine and it’s that Cam-KolekGinoboli Kueppel type player who makes everyone better. Equiv of a top 20 prospect in my eyes,
While it’s a small sample size - Adams did not look like he fit in at the McDonald’s game.Totally agree on Adams - looks like a kid that is going to need time to mature up physically, so if needing instant PT, se la vi.

I’m of a diff view. Was fairly ineffective against top competition, looked utterly inept in the McD AA game. Like a deer on skates. Needs to gain strength to go up against men. Right now has an Ichabod Crane feel to him. He feels more of a project than instant impact. We shall see what Buzz can do with him.I think Adams will surprise people this year and next. He is a natural all-around scorer at 6'5 who has good length, a rangy body, good ball handling and movement, and shoots the ball really well. I did not watch the McD game, but as I understand it, they're not playing offense with any flow to it. Hurley recruited him for good reason, and gave him up as this team has too many outstanding players at the 2/3, and what he really needed as the team developed was a 2nd veteran point guard. Hurley working that chemistry component too with his personnel, only so many minutes available, players riding the pine, secondary support players etc.
