Already one of the best offensive rebounders ever, Drummond could cement himself as the best rebounder ever when all is said and done. To be able to say that we have the greatest 3 point shooter of all time and the greatest rebounder of all time as alumni would be so cool. This probably doesn't need its own thread, but I just got happy knowing that our NBA presence is in good hands as long as Drummond is around.

There's this guy Curry for golden state who is probably going to end up the greatest 3 point shooter ever. Nothing against Ray but Curry is just on another planet right now and could keep this going for 10+ years

Definitely true, but right now the greatest ever is Ray. Curry I think will be considered the greatest shooter of all time for sure though, from all spots on the floor.

Ray may have the record but Curry is the greatest shooter ever in the NBA, there hasn't been anyone with his ability to shoot from 3 spotting up, coming off screens, and off the dribble.

Curry is going to break Ray Allen's career 3 pt record sorry to say but it won't take anything away from Ray he will be in the HOF by then. Im pretty sure Steph picked up some tips watching Ray growing up, Ray did play a season with Dell, Ray did bring him to the 99 championship game btw.

The other 3-point shooting greats, Reggie Miller and Ray, played a lot of years and through training kept their legs under them. Maybe Curry can do it too. His father played a long time. 15 years. But it isn't a given.

In terms of Andre and rebounds, there was also this guy named Bill Russell. He averaged 22.5 rebounds per game over a 13 year career. He averaged low to mid 20's rpg ever year except his first and last 2 years in the NBA. Different eras, obviously, but Andre won't come close to that over his career.

I'll agree as of now, Ray still has some claim to being the greatest shooter of all time. But it will be Curry much sooner rather than later. As for rebounding, I don't think you can really compare Wilt and Russell to Drummond. So many things about the game were different back then. By sheer volume, no one will ever catch them. But, I think Andre has a shot at going down as the greatest rebounder of his era, and this century (so far - still kinda early).

I don't see how someone can say Steph won't or can't continue this. He has the quickest shot release in the league, best range, he the best shooting off the dibble and picks going left and right, he arguably has the best handle. Worse comes to worse he becomes Steve Nash in 6 years and then he could be a steve Kerr type 3 point specialist and still run an offense in his twilight years.

Shooters of his caliber don't lose their stroke and he's shifty and quick enough with great handles that he will be able to continue this and eclipse all the great shooters

Ray is a future HOF and AD still has a ways to go but on the right track. You know what the crazy thing is we didnt make a FF with either of them but yet have won 4 National championships, that right there shows you how good our program is.

That shouldn't matter, the game is so different today from when Bill played. If Drummond leads the league every year for the next 10 or so years he can make the claim. Let's just enjoy that we have a CT. kid who seems to be focusing in on greatness. He still has a ways to go but Andre seems to maybe me ahead of schedule, rebounding comes so easy to him.

Kevin Love had a 30/ 30 game a few years ago, is he going to break the record too?

I guess we are all ruling out Curry cheating on his significant other, being exposed as a sex addict and getting chased out of his house by an enraged woman beating the S out of his car with a golf club. I've heard that can have a pretty significant impact on your professional sports execution...

By what measure? I'm not worried about it taking anything away from Ray. His legacy stands just fine. By what measure is Curry the greatest shooter ever?

Fully agree, maybe in the minds of 8 year old NBA fans curry is the best ever, but if he got hit by a truck next year and never played again, Ray still has his record and in that way at least is the best 3 point shooter ever

Side note obviously, but is anyone else already annoyed by Curry? I went from fan to sick of him in maybe one postseason, but it just felt to me like for a while he was fighting for attention or credit, that people didn't consider him the superstar he was playing like. However, as he has soared in popularity, this chip on his shoulder remains, and I just don't think he has any reason to have that attitude. When he hits a 3, that everyone expects him to make, he has to fly down the other end of the court mean-mugging as though anyone thinks he isn't amazing.
I just want the guy to play basketball and stop acting like he's consistently in the climax of his own epic sports movie

I remember when Tiger would inevitably destroy all of Nicholas' records. You have to be talented AND enduring to break those records. Time will tell.

Currys ankles could give out on him tomorrow. He's not the greatest yet, but if he keeps this up for 10+ more years he will be

Too many UConn fanboys or people are just putting the record over everything. Ray holds the record and probably was the best three point shooter until Cutry came along but the record is all Ray still has. Steph breaks his own single season records all the time now and he shoots the three ball off the dribble better than Ray could ever dream about and he shoots the three more often and more proficiently than Ray did.
