Im not all in on REvolting and REprehensible

It’s time for uconn to wake up and spend money on this football team
Spend money? They have pro-level facilities. I don’t think any are being paid, like at other places, and none deserve it.
Do you just want a more high profile coach?
I want a young guy with young and new ideas. And I want him to recruit players. Kids with strength and speed. Something we really need.

This is beyond ridiculous at this point. How much more of this are we supposed to take? Where is there any improvement? Offense, horrible. Defense, horrible. Recruiting? A joke. All these facilities at a top 25 public University and you are out-recruited by Toledo and Utah State?? Edsall sucks plain and simple. Go get us some young coach who can recruit and pay for decent assistants, please.

Worst CFB coach of all time. He may legit have the lowest winning percentage of all time

Randy is the farthest thing from a fraud. His players will tell you that. But 2.0 is not working
Skiblets put the blue kool aid down man you are hammered drunk. We saw Beadury arguing with Edsall with our own eyes for the punt. He is an absolute dumpster fire of a coach.

As someone on the outside looking in, it appears (from your posts and comments) that all of you are disappointed, disgusted, at your wits end, and are ready for a change.

Everyone here knows what needs to be done. First you have to come together as one, and figure out a workable plan of action, then put it in motion. Your football program can be turned around, but it’s not going to happen overnight. Perhaps a 5-7 year plan that begins with putting new leaders in charge of your program. Most of your comments suggest none of you are happy with the current regime, as the program is still going backwards, and it’s not getting it done.

Right now UConn is exhibiting the definition of insanity. Your program can only get better and begin to change the direction it’s going now because you can’t get any worse. The first step towards recovery is realizing that you suck (a poster has already admitted that), and admitting that you’re not where you think/know you should be.

How bad are you? Right now, could UConn beat the #1 ranked Division 2 program on the road? How about at home? Unfortunately your program is only a few more losses away from being on life support.

Then begin to work your plan making small positive steps (milestones) one step at a time. You guys know what needs to be done. All you need is the resolve to do it. Put down those crying towels and go about your business of breathing life back into this program and make it attractive to potential recruits and all of the other entities ( fans, TV, sponsors) that can help make it great again.

The hardcore fans and boosters that are left will have to spearhead this effort. In the words of Lou Saban, the Buffalo Bills coach (72-76) “ you can get it done, but what’s more important, you gotta get it done.” If you don’t, who will?

Tomorrow, begin your 1000 mile journey. Take your first step, but it must be taken as one. Put UConn back on the map. And don’t be afraid to think outside of the box. You have nothing to lose.

Who knows, in 5-7 years, you just might have the P5 conferences looking over their glasses at your program with sincere interest.

Because this administration doesn’t know what they are doing unfortunately

Honest question, why would it change?

It's not just football struggling. The entire athletic department is. Across the board. It's never been this bad overall. Something wrong systematically.

Look, I'm mad about soccer and hockey too, but it has as much to do with football being bad as the moon does.

Underrated post

I watched more of the Rhode Island game (live) than I did UConn after the first half and in my humble opinion it's good we played Rhody last year. If we had them instead of Wagner it would be 0-6 right now. They were spirited and competitive at VaTech.
It will probably be YEAR FIVE before Randy is ready for that challenge.......oh, wait, isn't that when we go to Clemson?

Beaudry walked away from him fast, that says it all. He's lost control of the team. If Benedict doesn't fire him this week, this program will unravel very fast.

Beaudry shouldn't be the quarterback of the team. He isn't mobile and locks onto receivers. Play the Jack Zergiotis as he has upside at least and throws a better ball and can move in the pocket.

Agree 100%, but Edsall is Edsall.

After watching Beaudry in the South Florida game I thought it would only a matter of time before Edsall goes back to Jack Zergiotis. Maybe it will happen this week or the Umass game. Jack Zergiotis does at times rushes and throws a god awful pass. Still, he has a quicker release than Beaudry and has made more plays than MB. I agree with you that Jack Zergiotis gives us a better chance to score points.
