1. I never understood comments such as, "who will play the 4"? I think it's an oddly restrictive question. What is this theoretical "4"? I saw Niels Giffey playing the "5" at points down the stretch. Is that a metaphysical possibility? Point is, I don't see the numbers 1-5 mattering too much. When KO wants Facey to play, Facey will play. We had a skinny front court this past NC year and not one big man for the other team won the game for them with a dominating performance. The only team that ate our lunch did it with guard play.

2. "The thought that Facey won't likely see a good amount of time in is sophomore season because he hardly played in his freshman season is predicated on a false notion that the former instructs the latter." - Deandre Daniels.

Daniels' departure forces the issue, so Facey will need to step up. But I think we know that those who make the most of their minutes will get the minutes. Facey has to improve on defense. We saw Brimah hit the pine when he couldn't step out and defend mobile big men against MSU and Kentucky, and Nolan could. As you point, out Niels played 3-4-5 whatever was needed.

While the front court won't be big, the backcourt will. Samuel is tough and can post smaller guards. Purvis is big and strong and more physical than any SG we've had in a long time. Cassell Jr. is a big guard as well and of course Calhoun. Hamilton is skinny, but explosive. If Facey can defend and rebound, he will play. It's that simple.

The POWER he will bring!

His first assignment on this team is to toughen up Phil Nolan. No holds bar please. I hope that K-Free can 'privately' work with Lubin.

Welcome to husky nation young man. Go to class, get your education at our excellent state university and listen to your coaches! World will be your oyster!

he will play definitely more then 10
I'd be shocked if either Facey or Lubin was anything but a 10-12 minute a game player - maybe less so with Facey.

He's had a year in the program while Lubin definitely needs some time. Conditioning will be a bit of an issue there - the kid is strong, but he's not ready to run UConn-style. (He's also going to find himself stuffed around the rim until he sorts things out.)

Hey 3, got a question. Does KO specifically recruit devout players? If so, it seems like quite a model for getting players with good character
I would tend to think not, but that doesn't mean that Ollie's faith won't attract recruits of a similar faith.

Can you please tell us how tall he really is? Nobody here knows for sure
She told me 6'8" when he committed. However, people who I've talked to that have been at his games say he's not. They say 6'7".

he is 6'8 and weighed in today at 268 and that's solid

thanks for the update. There's been a lot of posts by "experts" on here who can tell from a video that there's no way he's 6'8" and definitely 6'6" or 6'7" and therefore will never be more than a role player.

I'm very optimistic he will work hard and be a beast. He's obviously a genetic freak (in a good way) to fill out his frame with muscle at such a young age. It will be fun to watch him make an impact as a freshman.
