Wright’s won a championship and Villanova hasn’t had to restructure itself over the last few years. That’s the advantage. It’s not who you’re recruiting against that’s the huge difference, it’s what you can sell to recruits. The difference is not having to sell a program that hadn’t made the tournament in 20 years and still doesn’t have facilities comparable to the conference’s best, and somehow managing to beat out BE and Power 5 teams for a few players. He had the best coaches in the game come through his gym with their assorted pitches in the past. He’s heard it all from the other side, and it’s all the same.
Rahsool has some some solid trainers around him. His school is outside of the city, but he lives in Philly. Hopefully those outside nets come back safely and soon. A lot of local players have recently opted to leave Philly for high school ball, glad he’s stayed home.
