I originally figured we wanted to use the 5 schollies to fill out one at each position (PG- Gaffney, SG Bouk, SF-Precious, PF-Akok, C-Kofi). Now that I think about it, maybe it wouldn't be the worst thing to get 2 centers in, if possible. Polley, Sid and Vital pretty adequately fill the wing position, especially with another year under their belt at this time next year. If we just bring in Kofi, we are still pretty thin at the true center position with Cobb leaving.
Point Guard- Rique, Gaffney
Wing/Forward/Guard tweeners- Sid, Polley, Vital, Bouk, Brendan
Forward- Akok, Diarra, Whaley
Center- Kofi, Wahab, Carlton

I'm not going to speculate on transfers but it wouldn't be the most shocking thing if even another schollie opened, in which case we go hunting for Precious or bring in a Wing/Forward grad transfer.

I'm guessing the staff still want 1 Center (Kofi) and Precious, but maybe the best bet is load up at the Center position and then trust our group of wings.

If Wahab commits to Pitt it only helps us with Kofi, unless Kan$as or L$U jump in and get on him strong I don't think we should worry much about the other teams in his top 8

I don't think we're going to get him. I'd put us in like... 3rd for him. Love this guy as a better version of Carlton.. really good four year piece to have.

I'd much, much, much, much rather have Cockburn or Aciuwa.

He’s totally different than Carlton. He’s a defensive stopper who is significantly more athletic.

OK.

I'd still much rather have the other two. Would love to have all three, but more those guys.

I agree, Kofi would be my first choice, but as some others pointed out, with our big depth next year I wouldn’t be opposed to taking two centers in this class. With Precious’ recruitment just beginning it seems and us maybe not having the momentum we had early with him, taking a couple solid, strong big men wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.

.-.
If we could, we would load up at the 5. Very little starters or depth up front - We also need another scorer. Lots of work to do. Chief has been saying all season the focus is recruiting and it is.

I think we need another ball handler. Love Gaffney but he is turnover prone, Bouknight plays off the ball. AG being our only true PG/ball handler next year concerns me.

.-.
My guess is that backup PG may be a grad transfer.
If Demarr Langford wants to reclassify would you rather have him over a grad transfer PG, despite his natural position to play off the ball?

sounds like hurley gonna sign wahab if he can. good. go into the spring with a borderline top 10 class and one scholly left to fill. no glaring holes on the roster and no pressure.

Yup. If he signs him that’s fine by me. The earlier they wrap up 2019 the earlier they move onto 2020. If he doesn’t sign him... it’s high tide towards Kofi.

What if HYPOTHETICALLY we had 6 scholarships for next year? Would we try and take two bigs if Tre Mitchell was for sure the second?
