Not even close, PC always gave UCONN a hard time even in the champion years and won more than their fair share. You talk like you guys win every game when we play.

The job of being coach at Providence is the same as being the coach at Northwestern or Cal or Ole Miss. Just don’t be publicly embarrassing. Make the tournament every 4-6 years. Get a couple of nice home upsets. Keep the building semi full.
But that’s as high as the expectations get. If they get higher...the coach realizes the athletic department won’t match that expectation and they look for someplace that will. Like Michigan.
Well since it's "fair share" would be zero... yeah. Not even close, PC always gave UCONN a hard time even in the champion years and won more than their fair share.
But they would never admit it. Even in the confessional. They would give a nut to be what we are/were the last 30 years.
I’ve been a UConn fan since I was a kid. But there was a period of time when PC was THE program in New England.
One of my favorite non-UConn teams of all time was the Marvin Barnes/Ernie D team that went to the Final 4. Dynamic players.
That is simply not true, we all would. Deep has it correct. But they would never admit it. Even in the confessional.
When we had crappy facilities we had hard nose players. Now we have pampered soft ones. Burn the damn practice facility to the ground for all I care. Nap pods, hyperbaric chambers and a barber shop. Good grief. If that was their only objective, Providence would not have made the investments in basketball facilities they did in recent years.
However, seeing that they've given up on Catholicism, maybe they had nothing else worthwhile on which to spend their money.
Down 6 to College of Charleston right now with about 46 people in the crowd.
You weren't kidding. He was a top 50 recruit, he looks terrible. He sucks
Diallo has become a pompous selfish cancer. He has single handily destroyed the camaraderie on this team and Cooley let it happen. Duke is far and away the best player and he needs the ball. AJ Reeves is still salvageable but he needs leadership from his teammates. This season is a total loss without Cooley admitting he has screwed up and making big changes and he is not capable of thatYou weren't kidding. He was a top 50 recruit, he looks terrible.
He definitely didn't suck last year. Looked really promising. Wonder what happenedYou weren't kidding. He was a top 50 recruit, he looks terrible.
Unfortunately that’s necessary to get good players nowWhen we had crappy facilities we had hard nose players. Now we have pampered soft ones. Burn the damn practice facility to the ground for all I care. Nap pods, hyperbaric chambers and a barber shop. Good grief.
@FriarJ...how long was Cooley's extension for?Diallo has become a pompous selfish cancer. He has single handily destroyed the camaraderie on this team and Cooley let it happen. 10 years.@FriarJ...how long was Cooley's extension for?
Wow. A guy with one tournament win in his career got a 10 year extension??? All because Michigan was knocking on the door?10 years.
Change a single word in that sentence, and it could be referring to us a few years ago, when someone mishandled (or has mispromised to) his own recruits and ended up chasing most of them into the transfer portal. This season is a total loss without Cooley admitting he has screwed up and making big changes and he is not capable of that
