Sounds like your internet connection.Peacock lagging constantly in crunch time was pretty annoying

Yes, yes and yes to your points! But he still has to learn to not reach in as much as he does.Saw it last night. Mullins is the real deal. More minutes, more touches, more shots, more involvement on both ends of the floor. His defense was not bad. Keeps his man in front of him for the most part. it was very exciting to see. I was glad Danny just kind of left him in there. He is a difference maker. And yes, if he continues to get the big minutes, I will thoroughly enjoy his one year stay here.
As Michael Jordan once said luck is 90% practiceWe got incredibly lucky to pull that out and it took an all-time performance from our point guard.
Big of you to come over here and say congrats because I know that stung for you.
Jones is an incredible player. You have some NBA guys on your team.
Yep he has always had this skillset but couldn't stay on the court because his D was subpar. He has worked on playing great D and staying on the court to do other things on offense. He was also 2nd on the team behind Tarris with 5 boards. Not sure if others have mentioned it but Stewart has become a pretty high level entry passer into the post. Multiple times last night he got the ball around the foul line and threw a very nice lob into Reed. They looked like set plays. He’s becoming a key to our success even when not scoring
The Friars always seem to have someone looking like the Mascot playing on the team. Last year it was the white guy and now this guy. LOL!That 50 yr old bald guy just doubled his 3pt shots for the year
Powell had some nice shots. That 3 pointer in OT while falling away was clutch but was quickly answered by UConn. That 50 yr old bald guy just doubled his 3pt shots for the year
Yeah, I thought he was out of bounds too, but there was no whistle and they kept playing...Wow! Great catch! Had that been called correctly, the end result would have probably turned out differently.
And we all know what AI said about practice:As Michael Jordan once said luck is 90% practice
While Ball definitely had a rough game defensively, these stats are exaggerated by the fact that Providence's center was in foul trouble during much of the time that Ball was also sitting.Solo was -19 while his late game replacement Stewie was +18
During Dan's post game media access. And he was careful in his response to a reporter's question about the T- Because of BE oversight of his comments in press conferences(Val)- Said that he was having a discussion with one of the refs as they were headed to the tunnel. A ref he said he generally has excellent communication with- and a second ref joined the conversation after they were having a back and forth- And he was the guy to assess the T.He didn't seem to be "chirping" so much as talking to the ref. It also seemed like it was productive as at the start of the second half refs started calling fouls against Providence
AK was quiet in stretches but showed up when needed and then proceeded to "taunt" the PC crowd. Love to see it.
Sounds like your internet connection.
Yea, Mullins looking like Jordan Hawkins coming off those screens..The more I see stuff like this I start getting '23 '24 vibes.
I feel like I just watched a final four game
This. We were actually going offense-defense for a little bit if possessions changed on dead balls. Then Stewart hit a 3, so he stayed with him on offense too.Could also be that putting in Jaylin as a defender who is significantly taller and better defender than Ball (6-3) was a strategy against some of the PC players who were taller and driving to the basket almost at will. (Vaaks 6-7 , Mela 6-7, Powell 6-8 Jones 6-5).
they're a lot better than 8-7, ans I suspect they'll show it the rest of the way.Dauster said the Providence roster cost at least $10 million. It's crazy they're only 8-7 with that amount of talent.
Not unlike that Michigan win at Penn St. Sometimes when you're winning comfortably often, barely trying (Marquette), you need a game like that to heighten the senses. I like what a game like that does for this team. It also helped to define this team in terms of who Hurley trusts when the going gets tough. We got killed on 50/50 balls and letting nobodies nail threes. It was basically a D- effort (outside of silas and mullins) until the last few minutes and OT. Huge momentum win though. I think they'll learn a lot from it without having to add to the loss column
Reed is a tank for sure. Don't know if anyone in the college game can outmuscle him down low. Why it was such a huge loss not to have him against Arizona and their towering front line.Watching the replay. What an absolute monster Tarris Reed can be. On the game tying putback with 12 seconds left, Erhunmwunse has better position from the start for the rebound and then pushes Reed in the neck with two arms. Reed essentially doesn't even notice and bodies him across the paint, gathering the ball, and putting it back before Erhunmwunse can even contest.
If he didn't flunk off as a freshman, he'd would have been starting by season's end.Greatest passer in UConn history IMO
Hopefully this doesn't break the Friars because they looked so much better than they did vs St. John's and that was a win. Seems like it took them a bit this season to figure out how the pieces went. Heck of a game!Congrats
When he’s in the NBA and playing 24/7, lifting and eating will all take place!!!!He needs one more year, but it ain't gonna happen. He needs to get stronger, but he has all the skills in the world.
Yes, it’s unpopular to talk about UConn players as though you can’t stand them on a UConn message board. Such a brave stance you’ve taken
