Providence Post Game Thread

I'm not writing him off - I'm fully understanding of what he brings to the team and his limitations, limitations I've noticed with him for awhile. With Mullins absorbing a lot of the "shooter" role, and him being such a liability in other phases, I can see him checking down a bit on PT. We don't need two flame throwers out there, especially if Silas & AK are hitting. We need guys that can play defense.
Having Mullins and Solo together on the floor makes it pick your poison for defenses. They will both get more good looks as the season goes on because of each other.

Providence shot 50% from the floor and 58% from 3 with 14 makes. They out rebounded us.

Sure you can our defense was not great in the first half, but Providence played an incredible game.

There are maybe only 2-3 teams in the country that are winning that game tonight.

I'm fighting the flu for the fourth day now and thought I was hallucinating that Tristan was back and taking over the game.

Silas! Keep ballin boy!!!
I don't know what I have but I've been yawning every 10 seconds since I woke up this morning and my eyes keep watering. My sinuses are a wreck but I could still see Silas well enough to be blown away by his perfomance.

Phew

Braylon’s breakout. Silas is TNew but better on D.
We were down 13 with eight and half left. Then lockdown D. I love Solo, but his defense was horrible tonight. Kudos to Dan for having the ‘nads to bench him.

This is what Silas is capable of doing. 15 assists from him. Amazing. School record 18 THREES!
Solo has been playing like he is hot snot on a silver platter lately, and I am glad he got taken down a notch by Dam benching him at the end. I know this isn't a popular opinion though...

It was so much more - bouncing passes off Reibe's feet, not boxing out, so many mistakes all over the place. He's simply a liability outside of hunting shots. Lacks intangibles. I've said it for awhile, but I would not be surprised if his time on the floor shrinks as Mullins settles in and Ross/Stew absorb time at the 3, shifting Mullins to the 2. It was pretty clear tonight who Dan Hurley trusts when it matters.

I like you man, I don't get super angry or anything at your posts, but it is odd...you seem to take everything to the extreme.

I wouldn't be thinking anything major about Solo's playing time or Danny's trust based on 1 game in the middle of the season.

One of the best games I’ve ever seen. And shoutout to the UConn fans there. We heard you loud and clear.
I agree and Providence played out of their minds. Really nice to see Floyd playing well and Hurley with the warm embrace at the end. Plus to all the providence students chugging beers throughout. Great atmosphere.

We had some really nice sets to get Braylon, Silas, Solo & Alex wide open for great looks tonight.

Our offense was clicking. Which is what you expect to see against a KP 133 defense.
