The gaps between his highs and lows in this game was WIDE.

After. nearly flawless 1st half, we were as sloppy as i’ve ever seen the last 10 or so minutes. They scored 47 in the second half, that’s BAD. As i’ve said, we make so many mistakes to make games closer than they are, and they are almost always self inflicted.

Plus, the refs were downright awful down the stretch. Newton getting fouled about 15 times and never getting a call on that Sanogo bucket late was so poetic to how the refs called it. I don’t know what Cooley does to get all these calls and never get any calls against, but it works.

On to Marquette, on the bright side, Marquette isn’t a team that will kill with pressure like PC did.

BTW, AJax is our true pg. Bring the ball up, distribute. You know, all the things. No crumbs on Newton (how the hell we got him out of the portal...pure genius that was). But AJax was setting Newton up to be the sg this afternoon. Just saying.

We once again showed we can look like the best team in the country and annoyingly we showed we're capable of melting down in chaotic situations. Luckily we righted the ship just in time with some clutch shots, a huge hustle rebound by Newton and clutch ft's by Newton.

We need to learn from this and Hurley has to impress upon them that 30 minutes of focus isn't enough against any of these teams. Can't have these extended mental collapses anymore or we'll get bounced.

Refs weren't great but come on we thought it was over and got sloppy. Hopefully a wake up call to come out and smash Marquette.

The post game trash talk would have been more fun if UConn won by 20+, but either way, everyone will forget about Providence by tomorrow.

I never ever complain about the refs but my god, for a 6-8 minute stretch there in the second half it was ridiculous. I mean comically bad. That one play Newton got hit about 6-7 times, no call which followed a phantom call against him on the other end. Anyone objectively watching that had to wonder what was going on.

Can’t turn the ball over 18 times. Refs sucked; they always suck in this lousy conference.

You still can’t turn the ball over 18 times. That was the best of worst of this team, all in one game.

Refs did not suck. They did just what they were paid to do.
