I liked 30 minutes of it. I didn't very much like the 10 to 2 fouls that fueled the run from 26 down.If you don’t like that you don’t like UConn Huskies basketball.

A win over #6 in the country may get us to 2 if the other conferences help. One more win guarantees a 3 seed; 2 more gives us a chance for a 2 seed.
The second point is actually comical.Takeaways
1) We can be the best team in the country in spurts. We need to figure out how to sustain it.
2) Karaban is the guy, Hawkins is not the guy. Hurley realizes thank goodness.
3) The team is palpably nervous in tight situations. Was at the game and could literally see the anxiousness and fear on the guy's faces (particularly Sanogo) when the game got to 5 and Providence fans got into it).
4) Providence fans are obnoxious. Every one of them thinks they are God's special Rhode Island Christian baby. Nauseating.
They counted it as a 2 but the replay showed 3.I’m on my way to have a heart attack if it were not for Karaban’s 3.
That's one way to look at it. The team was far too lax with the ball once they went up by 26 and we got too much into prevent mode draining the clock but Hawkins and Karaban looked pretty darn confident knocking down those threes and Newton looked pretty darn confident knocking down those ft's to seal the win.Bad. 100% bad. Nothing good about that at all. You could see the fear in the eyes and the body language. This team's margin of error is very slim. Forget teaching moments.......it's too late for teaching moments. We obviously do not thrive in close, tense, pressure situations. There was 100% nothing good about the way that 2nd half transpired other than the final outcome.
Edit: 19 pts on >50% shooting 'tf are you talking about.Takeaways

How so? I should have expanded, he's the guy to take the shot in a must-make situation. Pretty obvious to me. Doesn't mean Hawkins isn't great. The second point is actually comical.
Providence probably presses as well as anyone in the countryOur press break needs to be set up/performed better. Lofted passes horizontally from Newton and AJax is too predictable, and neither uses up fakes or dribbles enough. Our OOB plays have been pretty scary for a while now.
Playing with one hand being arm barred all game.4 TOs to 6 assists. Sanogo had 5 TOs.
I’m all in on Andre. He does many things to help the team. It’s not all on him. We let up and then tightened up and gave them a flicker of hope and they grabbed it. We will learn from it.He needs to have the balls to either take out Andre, or somehow refocus him. He killed us down the stretch, and played poor defensively on Locke.
Some of his passes were unfathomable...I’m on my way to have a heart attack if it were not for Karaban’s 3.
Still needs to be better, far too predictable and slowProvidence probably presses as well as anyone in the country
It was shocking to see them play to kill the clock with so much time leftThat's one way to look at it. Of course it’s not all on him, he was tremendous in the first half. But he’s a Junior, he’s too lax with the ball and forces far too much.I’m all in on Andre. He does many things to help the team. It’s not all on him. We let up and then tightened up and gave them a flicker of hope and they grabbed it. We will learn from it.
I was thinking what if everyone transferred to cuse now that bughiem is gone.Thank God they don’t need to face Syracuse’s zone anytime soon. /s
Or, maybe not.and maybe a Haiku and Limerick thread could be good mojo? Who knew?
He’s our emotional leader.home court feel @ MSG is anyone’s dream, but there’s business to be taken care of. i’m sure Andre is gonna let everyone know it
BadThen what would you qualify Marquette having to go to OT to beat St Johns?
Dre is playing the best ball of his career right now.I’m all in on Andre. He does many things to help the team. It’s not all on him. We let up and then tightened up and gave them a flicker of hope and they grabbed it. We will learn from it.
