did the coach shoot under 15% from three? Hurley in-game coaching leaves a lot to be desired but this wasn't on him.
Hurley coached a great game. Our players were rattled and scared of the moment. Bad loss but we’ll grow. Need Martin and Sanogo back ASAP and healthy

That was ugly. Couldn't shoot and sloppy ball handling. This teams ceiling is highly dependent on the emergence of Hawkins and Jackson offensive game. Polley also can't be this streaky either. One game he doesn't miss, the next he's 0-6.

Also, we really missed Sanogo's inside dominance and Martin's intensity and rebounding.

Teams and players will have bad shooting nights. It happens. Most people understand.

Akok repeatedly being out of possession and not being able to put his body on an opposing rebounder is inexcusable. I've loved his potential since he arrived, but he can't simply be a shot blocking finesse player.

3-21 from the arc

Cole 2-8
Polley 0-4
Hawk 0-3
Jackson 1-1
Rest of team 0-5

That's 14% if you're counting. And a lot of those shots were wide open. It is very hard to beat anyone when you shoot that percentage on that many threes. Coming into the game we were shooting 37% and making over 8 a game. We did manage to break 50 points. But our goals should be higher.

Are we sure that there isn’t a guy out there that can recruit the same guys that we’re getting and actually coach in game? Serious question. I mean how many years are we going to give Hurley to say “he’s learning”. This was SUCH a joke game. A guy that knew what he was doing on the court would have taken this unbelievably terrible WVU offense to school.

It says Polley was only 0-4 from three but it felt like 0-10. Need him to find it before the end of the year.
Polley makes 5 threes in a game and he follows it up with 0 for infinity next five games. So inconsistent

With 2 starters out they need at least 1 of Hawkins, Polley or Akok to step up. The 3 of them combined to shoot 2-18 for 8 points. You're just not going to win games if they can't step up and give the team some scoring. Cole can't do everything. Whaley even had 15 sorely needed points. But those 3 can't be this bad to win games.

And WVU stinks.

This game was completely winnable without them. We couldn't shoot the ball for the life of us
Should be an embrassment as scholarship athletes to showcase this performance. A lot of those attempts were WIDE OPEN. This is a trend

We missed Martins ability to slash to the rim and the inside outside play of Sanogo. Im not worried, we all know a healthy squad would have won by double digits. Chin up and battle on.

WVU is not a good team. We should have beat them by 10+ points with the amount of open looks they gave us all night long. Another shattering loss because we cannot close out games. The ball needs to be in COLE'S HANDS ONLY under 4 minutes. Everyone else panics and does the most dumbazz crap with it

Good teams win that game. Even down Sanogo & Martin we supposedly have depth.

My only conclusion is that we're not a good team unless we're at full strength. When not at full strength we're not all that good.

We'll see on Sat & to start the BE but I have lowered expectations for now.

It's a problem when our shooters can't shoot and our "3 point specialist" can't make open 3s consistently.

Couldn't agree more. And even with two starters back, they've got to be productive when they're on the floor if we are looking to be special.

Then put Johnson or Springs in. Can it be any worse? Maybe they box out on a key rebound.

Chill out dude! Two starters out and playing rhe first true away game in a hostile environment. You need to take some valium. Sure I was disappointed in the loss but I didn't think it was the coaches fault. WvU is not a pushover.

The team had zero composure the last 5 minutes of the game especially. Had no idea what to run or react on offense except throw up a bad shot when the clock ran down. I'm sorry, but thats on the coach. Hurley has had 5 years - and this is the same pattern with his "talented" teams.
