My what an attractive mausoleum.

My what an attractive mausoleum.

Gods country for sure.
Think you have her confused with von Oelhoffen. She was the one who posted that final four. Now that Iriafen has committed to Southern Cal, what does that do for Timea Gardner who had a supposed Top 4 of Southern Cal, Colorado, Louisville and Kentucky?
Unconfirmed rumors that Gardner might have been visiting Texas this weekend. But, that doesn't jive if that reported Top 4 was accurate.
Money talks and Texas has it, so she may have changed her mindNow that Iriafen has committed to Southern Cal, what does that do for Timea Gardner who had a supposed Top 4 of Southern Cal, Colorado, Louisville and Kentucky?

Biggest names in portal at the moment IMO:
Talia von Oelhoffen, Oregon State
Timea Gardiner, Oregon State. Top 4 are USC, Louisville, Kentucky and Colorado
Haven't seen any from my end. It's anyone's guess at this point.Oh, my bad. So what do we know about Gardiner? She's the one who visited home state Utah?
Other poster telling me I had Gardiner confused with TVO for those 4 schools. Maybe I wasn't confused.
Fixed the list—I mixed up TVO and TimeaNow that Iriafen has committed to Southern Cal, what does that do for Timea Gardner who had a supposed Top 4 of Southern Cal, Colorado, Louisville and Kentucky? EDIT: had her confused with another OSU player.

That is an extensive list, with many players that can help some programs. The limited bigs issue is mostly from the standpoint of Uconn's needs. Those are quite different for a couple of reasons. First because of roster constraints that affect potential 2025 recruits, Uconn is probably only interested in players with one year of eligibility left, unless it is a true superstar like Beers.Did someone say there are no quality bigs left in the portal? Not including Beers as she is deciding between two schools. Obviously "quality" is subjective but it looks like there are still plenty of post players with "big" potential available.

I’m not interested. Solid big, but we have three solid, experienced bigs plus Edwards and Tac in “support roles.” Don’t toy with the formula of the chemistry that worked perfectly last season.I find Dauda to be as interesting a name as any of them.
Probably looking for more than a support role, but I'd take her at SCar.

I doubt Geno cares what Paterson and Brady were ranked when looking at transfers. He is going to compare transfers based on what he has seen so far from those two in practice and games - not where they were ranked. Frankly, Patterson showed nothing in her first year games. Patterson showed more - but not much more. (He may have more confidence based upon practice performance.) Haven't we learned that high school ranking should be thrown out after the first year? College performance is what counts. That is an extensive list, with many players that can help some programs. The limited bigs issue is mostly from the standpoint of Uconn's needs. That probably rules out top players like Barker, Muhammed, Dauda, and Gardiner for example. Further to make a significant difference, it probably needs to be a player that could beat out current players like Ayanna Patterson and Ice Brady who were ranked 4 and 5 on Hoops Girls, which eliminates many.
Now if they can't get someone that meets those criteria, they might pursue someone that might just represent injury insurance with just one year remaining, and your list has several candidates for that role. For difference makers with one year left my list would include Karlen and Dalce from yours, plus King from Pittsburg who is not really a big (6-0) but plays like one, and I want to look further at Williams stats from Michigan, who could be interesting.
Showed nothing to who? You? Ayanna provided a lot of needed rebounding and defense her freshman year while playing on injured in a knee that needed surgery. I think most UConn fans and the UConn coaches were quite pleased for what both Ice and Ayanna can do fully healthy in the front court. That the coaches only seriously pursued a center in the portal shoes they are happy with what Ayanna and Ice have shown thus far.I doubt Geno cares what Paterson and Brady were ranked when looking at transfers. Last few days of portal -
Fixed it, thanks. I think there's still a portal deadline, which makes the whole thing manageable, and everyone can transfer > 1 time without the sit out penalty. There are, however, academic requirements with both the outgoing and incoming schools. It is not the last few days of the portal. It's the last few days of transferring without sitting out. And, how does it work now with the new transfer rules.?
Maybe so. But that has nothing to do with how they were ranked by Hooopgurlz or Prospect Nation or anybody else other than GenoShowed nothing to who? You? Yea and Geno hasn’t been looking at bigs that play their position so what does that tell ya? ItsMaybe so. But that has nothing to do with how they were ranked by Hooopgurlz or Prospect Nation or anybody else other than Geno
As badly as UConn needs a true post player, I don't hate Karlen as a consolation prize. She can play, she can mix it up inside, and she's a one year rental who will help ease the transition to Jana while giving Brady/Patterson a glimpse at what is expected of them.Re: Karlen and Dalce... Not certain why, maybe it's just gut instinct, but I have a sense that Coach and Co would be reluctant to take a transfer from another Big East school. If that's not actually a factor in the decision-making process... Karlen could be a good fit.
Are the academic requirements for every transfer or only for non first time transfers?Fixed it, thanks.
