Dukes is the best player on CBC and he's starting to get some high major offers. He's only about 5-11 and not very athletic but he's super skilled and a smart kid.

What a poorly written article. How can a reporter editorialize like that when he didn't even know who the kid was a few hours ago?

Also, the 5 high schools in 4 years thing is stupid. It's really 3 high schools in 4 years. Just because he said he was going somewhere doesn't mean he actually attended the school.

I'm honestly a bit shocked by this commitment.

Getting a borderline top 100 player at this stage of the game is very impressive to the recruiting staff.

I guess this puts the roster at:

Napier, Boatright, Evans, Calhoun

Daniels, Giffey

Olander, Wolf, Nolan

Another 4 or 5 could make this team fairly decent and allow UConn to pursue 4 players in 2013.

2014 Giffey, Olander, Wolf and Napier would all be gone and those 4 scholarships would be open.

I agree with a prior post that this article is poorly written and filled with opinion, instead of news. Someone else made the point that he actually only attended three HSs and not the five that the author mentions.

As for your question, well this is poorly written as well. I think he means that UConn has lost three key members (the fourth being Bradley) of their front court duo (positions). UConn did play a fair amount of the time with three guards, but also quite a bit with three front court positions , whether you are using a center or three forwards. So not sure why he is saying duo except to make his point sound even more dramatic. And lastly...I understand it' trendy to bash UConn...but why be doing it to this HS kid as well? What class this guy has!!

True, 99 usually catches these things and in the past Hooper Scooper would have been all over it. There are a lot on Boneyarders from 10+ years ago who no longer post or post infrequently.
