OT: PGA at Kiawah

I said a few weeks ago I liked Ancer and I'll stick with him.

Is Ancer long enough? 7800+ yds. Longest in major history. His ball striking is elite but his short game, specifically his putting really holds him back. I like him a lot and am pulling for him to break through soon, but he always falls short because of the putting. Not sure this is the setup for him.

Ancer just threw up a 65 when no one else has done better than 67 in any round. Benign conditions or not, he's got the lowest round of the tourney, so I think we can now all say he's a threat anywhere.

Streelman sitting in a great position with no pressure on him, could be interesting.

In other news, Zalatoris is playing in only his 3rd major. So far he's got a 6th place (US Open), 2nd place (Masters) and what's looking like a top 10 at this one. Kid looking like he might out Koepka Koepka when it comes to focusing on majors.

Brooks and Louis keep this up, Harry Higgs could be looking at 2nd place.

They are making way too much out of Phils age. The guy is in great shape, probably better then in some years past. It's not like he has one foot in the grave already.

All one needs to understand that 50 in 2021 is not the same as 50 in the 1980s is to watch a rerun of Golden Girls, then watch Hot in Cleveland.

Oosterhouzen with double bogie. It's happening for Phil...who then bogied.

-7 to -3

Hold your breath. Phil drives left into the gallery on 18. Should be OK, but it's Phil.

What a story, great day of golf - great weekend of golf. My wife is anxiety ridden but I think Phil's got this. In levels of epicness (not an official measure) this comes i just behind Tiger's Masters victory a few years ago.

I like watching golf but have no idea how to bet it. It kind of feels like you need to handicap and bet it like horse racing, but I can’t create an exacta & trifecta box to supplement my win/place/show bets in golf.

So I bet on Mickelson +9000 to win.

Figured it was worth a shot.

to win? Yeah should absolutely not bet golf.

I did it for @polycom .

thank you for being wrong time and time again.

Crow for breakfast lunch and dinner for me for sure.

I was never a big Phil fan, but my respect for him went up a lot today. Dude hung in there and got it done.

Really loved the course. Great place for a major.
I am the opposite having been a Phil fan forever as not only being a 2x UConn grad, but also received my MSE at ASU. I am also proud to have 2 Hurleys as coaches of my Alma Maters' hoops teams!

Don’t beat yourself up. Every major this thread comes up and no one is ever right.

Lmao so this means what you beat a meaningless amount of money on a lotto ticket. Cool, I was wrong and you were right. Keep betting on Phil.

Would’ve never guessed +1 could do the job for Phil. The course just took it to everyone on Sunday that makes for a great major. Brooks pretty much putted like a blind man and couldn’t keep it together.

Good for Phil and the old guys!!!
