Glad Solo is going to Brewster this year and should get some good coaching to make up for the awful coaching this summer. Do we know where Ross is going yet? I know when he committed, he said he was looking at some prep schools.
Rutgers finished 4th in the B1G last season.he decided for a bottom B1G school
They’ve been terrible since joining. Good for them last year, they’ve got a good coach who can improve them.Rutgers finished 4th in the B1G last season.
And he's playing for the biggest branch on the Jim Calhoun coaching tree. Odd that no one in CT seems to mention that.
So being 4th best team in the Big14 gets you a play in game in the NCAA's. Not sure would be touting that.Rutgers finished 4th in the B1G last season.

I told solomon we are ready for him at uconn and he ignored me♂️.
This was before the gameHe just lost a game by 35 and didn't get to play the entire second half. Don't vlame the kid.
This point is hammered home by the 3 recruits mentioned as our misses:It's not a crazy take that winning will help, I just don't think it's an important one. I don't think these kids care about that, at least not 5* ones that we're struggling to get. They want to get to the NBA and that's priority number 1, 2, and 3
Are you referring to the billions of dollars earned in the NBA by players who were coached by current Rutgers coaches? This point is hammered home by the 3 recruits mentioned as our misses:
Edwards - probably Kentucky
Bowen - FSU
Griffiths - Rutgers
…basically the decision points were: NBA precedents, coach relationships, and probably NIL opportunities
Steve Pikiell has had 3 consecutive winning seasons and would have had 3 straight NCAA appearances had it not been for CovidSo being 4th best team in the Big14 gets you a play in game in the NCAA's. Not sure would be touting that.
And that is something to brag about? Not saying should get fired but long way from being something special. One NCAA win in 6 years is better than zero. Actually UConn got into the round of 64 in 2022 and Rutgers did not. Don't see anyone touting "UConn got into the last 2 NCAA tournaments, isn't that special".Steve Pikiell has had 3 consecutive winning seasons and would have had 3 straight NCAA appearances had it not been for Covid
They have won an NCAA game in past 2 seasons........................

the scholly grid just got a whole lot easier on the eyes assuming the first part holds true. The UConn men’s basketball team’s 2022 recruiting class is locked up (unless a surprise late recruit comes in over the next month), and the staff is busily working on an already strong 2023 class.
How can I watch stream the UA games anyone ?Today's schedule:
12:30 - Ball and Ross (Nike)
2:00 - Castle (UA)
6:30 - Stewart and Signare (Nike)
8:00 - Middleton (Nike)

Much better second half for Solo. Think he scored like 15-17 points in 2nd half alone, probably finished around 20-24 points if I had to guess. Played the entire second half. Showed up a bit of him being a three level scorer: hit a 3, some nice dribble drive work from midrange, drove to basket and was efficient at the rim on layups and a couple dunks. 2-3 from foul line. It's possible he didn't miss a shot in the second half, but I could have missed 1.
Jayden did not do much, barely playing in the 3rd. Missed putback dunk from, some nice moments for him defensively, a missed 3, 0 points I think in 2nd half.
Team Melo is terrible but not much of that is on Solo at least. The rebounding on the team is horrendous and point guard play is awful (pg was in paint double teamed and saw a wide open Solo in corner and decided to shoot it anyway instead of passing).
Nice bounce back game for Solo.
These lines and observations about Ross are prrrrretty yuckMuch better second half for Solo. I haven't watched THAT much of him but from what ive seen this week I think what hurts Ross is he can't create for himself and his dribble is fine but nothing special. As a result, because Team Melo seems mostly unorganized on offense (a lot of guy takes up ball and plays 1 on 5) which may just describe AAU ball and bad PG play he doesn't touch the ball a lot nor have the ability make something for himself. These lines and observations about Ross are prrrrretty yuck
Fair, it just seems a bit odd to commit that early to a guy that evidently won't bring much value in his first couple years. He feels like a Polley clone in that way of you run some good stuff for him to get open on the perimeter and he could likely be effective but Team Melo doesn't do much of this.
With what I've seen to date I keep thinking more athletic and better dribbling Polley which sure freshman year and likely sophomore year you aren't expecting much but as upperclassman I could see him being a valuable contributor.
Fair but if it did help with landing Ball then I get it. Also it helps to have guys you, theoretically, count on being here for 4 years and likely want the degree and or won't being getting looks from NBA.Fair, it just seems a bit odd to commit that early to a guy that evidently won't bring much value in his first couple years.
