Holy crap some PC fan comes over and tells us the word on the streets is he's going to PC and we're all giving up? C'mon............DOOOOMMMEEEDDDD!!

Hey congrats to Pc and the kid if he chooses them but it ain't over yet!

If he chooses any school besides uconn, honestly- shame on him. Have fun going nowhere if you pick st joes or pc. Dude, have ya heard of emeka, thabeet, or Andre Drummond? Good centers go to our school...

Let's be honest with ourselves, though. Our current coaching staff was only here for Drummond. If the school did all the work and not the coaches, top centers would still be lining up to go to Georgetown every year.

Thabeet was here less than 4 years ago. Miller was on the staff then, but you're right that Hobbs and Ollie are new. Still, Hobbs has been around before that as coach, and even had some good big men at GW.

it really just boils down to why in the blue hell would you go to st joes or pc over uconn

Sellers, LaFleur and Blaney were the assistants for the Thabeet era, which ended with the 2009 Final Four. Miller came back to be basketball operations guy when Sellers and Archibald were forced out in 2010 in the wake of the Miles saga, then took on a coaching role when LaFleur left after the NC.

If you wanna go to a Catholic school to play basketball you go to Georgetown, not Providence.

It's a big get for PC.

Thabeet had a huge impact on games at the college level.

I agree on both counts. I'm just saying that having a good center is a luxury, not a need. It's a position I don't expect Ollie to feature on offense in particular.

How about this- why go to any catholic schools when you're Muslim?

I was referring to Chuckwu, not Abu. Isn't Chuckwu Christian? Concerning religion, most athletes at Notre Dame aren't Catholic. Just sayin'. But I agree that if I was a devote Muslim, going to a Catholic university would be awkward to say the least.

I think I was a little confused as well. For some reason I thought chukwu was Muslim also, but I think Brimah is the one who I mixed him up with. Classic 7 footer mix up

If the rumor are true then it is time to move on. I never thought a center was a must in this class but a point, small forward and a power forward are

Andre Drummond would have never even been drafted if he did not spend all those years at UConn.

I know. Very similar to Ledo. PC got him into the league

Drummond actually played at UConn, just spare me the development BS

Why has the UConn program not developed players for the NBA MUCH BETTER than providence? Is that even debatable?

Spare me that UConn developed Drummond. Obviously not referring to Okafor. JC turned him into a stud. Thabeet is was and always has been a stiff. Don't kill me for it, it's only my opinion. Yes, he is a rich stiff and I believe UConn has a lot to do with it.

which is kind of our point

You can't continue to coach a player once he's left your school....

So take out Drummond. UConn has developed countless others in recent years. Let's see Providence's list. I'm guessing you won't tire out typing that's for sure.

I'm trying to agree without kissing your sorry azzes. I have not even started on the JC, Sellers, LaFleur, etc... are gone part. Please don't make me. From a pure basketball perspective to any top recruit, UConn would be favored (3 NC's in 15 years for ) It's not always about that.
