The US soccer teams are staying true to form with the men being defeated badly and the women winning easily. The women’s team has done a lot of house cleaning; I’m curious to see how the younger team does. Hoping I remembered to DVR the women’s game.

It was wonderful to see all the countries' athletes, as it always is at an Olympics. Americans shone brightly, as I'm sure many of them will in competition.

I hope all of you who didn't get to see it live this afternoon will watch the replay this evening on NBC. I cherish each Olympics Games, as I have since my first memory of them in 1960. And now that feeling is even more passionate as I get closer to the day when I won't be around to celebrate more.

Watching the Men's swimming relay last night was epic! Team USA won but China, Italy, and Australia got some speed in that water! Team USA on the women's side got 2nd place and the Australian women swimmers were in beast mode! Congrats to all. Up early to watch the women's mountain bike. I am just waiting to catch the break-dancing portion, whenever that comes on. Oh, and the opening ceremony was EPIC!! I loved it.

It's so great to see how people are responding to Flavor Flav's sponsorship of this team. Didn't realize it was a 5 year deal, which is huge for this type of sport.

When I watch waterpolo I feel tired just after 5 minutes when I think of all of effort it takes to move in the water like that. Can't even imagine the amount of conditioning that is required.
