Could someone with more experience than I with Pairwise and NCAA placement confirm that, as I read this, if we win the tournament today and tomorrow we'd be the highest seed in Allentown, a drivable location for those who want to go?

I would read that, yes. I'd still wait until Sunday to buy tickets.

I'd say if that happened 99% it would be Allentown. I might do that regional coming from dc but I'm still a lowell main (yeah I know we are out) and want to spend hotels and stuff on a wisconsin trip to coincide with broomball nationals. I'd have to look at the dates that one.

Full breaks apology. I would not assume those regionals on the basis that you don't know how the other schools will flop the rpi/pairwise

If we win tonight, there is an actual possibility of this being our Regional:

1. UConn
2. Minnesota
3. Denver
4. Penn St

Could you imagine if that actually happens? Being in a Regional against all three of our elite Transfer Portal deserters? Matthew Wood (Minnesota), Samu Salminen (Denver), and Arsenii Sergeev (Penn St). Not that our guys need it, but I think there would be a little extra motivation after how last year went down inside the team. I would think a first round matchup against Sergeev would make for a very interesting clash--I'd think that would be an advantage for our guys being very familiar with Arsenii's vulnerabilities.

I'll sketch through the possibilities after these games and I'm going to pray the AHA title game doesn't matter because I don't want to work out 16 scenarios

I'm running through most of the possibilities...

the first 5 are UConn versus Penn State in Allentown... though I'm more convinced the committee will send Maine out to Fargo and WMU to Allentown but that's my bias

the real issue is straight seeding is almost always UConn versus UMass and that needs to be swapped out

Most of the scenarios are UConn versus Penn State OR UConn versus Quinnipiac in Allentown. The RPI between QU and PSU is down to a hair. EVERY natural scenario has UConn versus UMass as the 6 vs 11 but since they're HEA opponents and since this can be resolved it will be.

From what I can come up with the Clarkson-Cornell game will determine which program UConn plays

Cornell win: UConn v Quinnipiac

Clarkson win: UConn v Penn State

Under no circumstance will Maine get sent to Fargo. The procedure they follow is first placing 1 seeds in the closest regions, before filling in the next 12 spots. BC to Manchester, MSU to Toledo, Maine to PA, WMU/MN to Fargo. They won't flip Maine anywhere since there's no intraconference matchup risk and ticket sales in Fargo and Allentown will be fine regardless.

Both them and UConn are locked into playing in Allentown absent the committee doing something completely unprecedented.

I figured at that point flight rules might apply and WMU is still closeish. That was my figuring... so it goes.

Right or wrong, the committee has moved away from moving teams for flights and/or attendance. It's bracket integrity that rules the roost.

This is dumb. OF COURSE Ohiost is gonna end up in Toledo. And why would they not swap MinnSt to Fargo and Q to Allentown?

I stand by my post above.
Bracket integrity.

The real problem this year is there's really three "western" regionals and only one in New England/NY.

Also not sure what the anger from UConn's side is on this, they'll get placed relatively close to home. Yeah PSU is the host but that's a rule thing. I'd rather get PSU in Allentown than Denver and BC in Manchester.

My guys are the ones who'll have to go through OSU and MSU in Toledo to get out of there. It is what it is, regionals need to go to home sites.

Not that it matters all that much but if the current Pairwise has Penn St at 12 and Quinnipiac at 13, why are they flipped on that projection?
