30 miles down route 32I suppose it is. I thought of it as east of Storrs until I actually went there.
)Thanks for the spelling advice - I corrected it in my post. I stand by the rest of it. Aubrey is super talented and I really hope she gets it one of these days. That will be one out of three from the "O".And with "OSSINING HIGH SCHOOL" (correct spelling by the way), over the past 25 years, is in the Top 10 High Schools in the UNITED STATES with the most Division 1 Recruited Players coming out of their Girls High School Program, I guess you might need to give OHS Head Girls Basketball Coach Dan Ricci a phone call and tell him that his program stinks? Thus I guess you WISHED that Geno didn't recruit Saniya Chong and Aubrey Griffin. (and say 'hypothetically" if Geno ever left for another program, say UCLA, with Shea Ralph taking over and Paige left to play for say, South Carolina, would you say that Paige left because she couldn't cut it at UCONN? Give us a break please.)
And I guess getting drafted by a WNBA Team is a horrible thing? (ie: Saniya Chong) - HmmmThanks for the spelling advice - I corrected it in my post. I stand by the rest of it. Aubrey is super talented and I really hope she gets it one of these days. That will be one out of three from the "O".
(PS - Your quite welcome for my spelling advise. "OSSINING PRIDE" !!)Sorry, what WNBA team does Saniya play for? She got drafted because she played for UConn, and ONLY because she played for UConn. What round do you suppose AEH will go in?And I guess getting drafted by a WNBA Team is a horrible thing? (ie: Saniya Chong) - Hmmm![]()
AGAIN ? We dont even see them play at NC tournament ?"And AEH is a "SELECTED" First Team BIG EAST CONFERENCE Selection" and that's 3 UCONN Recruited Players, who made the First Team ALL BIG EAST CONFERENCE TEAM (and oh, I forgot, one of those players, Geno said (on that tape that 'Magically" disappeared) was un-coachable), so to all of you AEH Bashers, all I have to say is "

You have totally derailed this Thread. Congratulations!!!And I guess getting drafted by a WNBA Team is a horrible thing? (ie: Saniya Chong) - Hmmm![]()
REALLY ?? Do you think that a Professional Women's Basketball Team is going to simply take a player in the Draft simply because she played for UCONN???? They are going to take the NEXT BEST PLAYER AVAILABLE IN THE DRAFT. To do otherwise, is simply DUMB and not financially sound. Remember, the WNBA is a BUSINESS FIRST and a SPORT SECOND !!Sorry, what WNBA team does Saniya play for? She got drafted because she played for UConn, and ONLY because she played for UConn. What round do you suppose AEH will go in?
Absolute BS. The WNBA is a highly-subsidized, money-losing "business," whose obvious higher purpose is the sport. As a "business-first" business it has been an abject failure for 20+ years.REALLY ?? Do you think that a Professional Women's Basketball Team is going to simply take a player in the Draft simply because she played for UCONN???? They are going to take the NEXT BEST PLAYER AVAILABLE IN THE DRAFT. To do otherwise, is simply DUMB and not financially sound. Remember, the WNBA is a BUSINESS FIRST and a SPORT SECOND !!
AGAIN ? We dont even see them play at NC tournament ?
so you had 3 first team player and again so what ?
I dont care , i just know we are here just because of Uconn Players
others , AGAIN , WE DONT CARE
And a beautiful button it is. Life is more peaceful with it.There is an ignore button.
Imagine if AE was 6'5"! With her athleticism I'd put her up against BG!No argument from me W/ the 3 SH players on 1st team all Big East; Correa and Hunter have the numbers and are most deserving. Park-Lane, beside getting the Best Name award is most impressive. She’s like 5’3” and just destroys defenders. Olivia just didn’t show up enough. Imagine if Park-Lane was 6’5”!

I suppose you weren't getting enough people to join your AEH praise fest on the thread you started about the Big East First Team...so you brought it to the thread intended to enjoy the successful season/recognition of UCONN.
Please knock it off.
The “wrong” Auriemma committed, at least in my view, was a recruiting class of four with significant overlap in position. None of those four are left, but AEH did not know when she was the first one out. But, I will continue to support AEH, as I believe that she was done wrong by "THE GOAT" Mr. A,
And he’s been on my list since he got here. There is an ignore button.
Everyone ignore him that way he can argue with himself. How many threads are we going to let it ruin? And he’s been on my list since he got here.

It's really a shame.Everyone ignore him that way he can argue with himself. How many threads are we going to let it ruin?

Unfortunately I can't ignore anyone until UConn is not playing any basketball because of the Prognosticators Predictions. Believe me there are about 5 that I wish I could but can't because I would miss their predictions.Everyone ignore him that way he can argue with himself. How many threads are we going to let it ruin?
Seriously, you are the only one who keeps bring this stuff up.
Alternatively, perhaps she simply matured and began listening to her coaches and is now reaping her reward. I’m not sure what you have against Geno, but your bias is showing! This is a fairly common thing with young players who excelled in High School and comes in expecting to be the star in College as well. Clearly, I don’t know exactly what happened to make her leave but I don’t doubt at all that she was afforded every chance to be successful at UConn. Sometimes things just don’t work out. However, in spite of your “stirring the pot” insinuations, I’m betting that the overwhelming majority (including Geno) of UConn fans are happy for her and don’t even associate her spot on the first team with some torturous assumption that she somehow kept Liv off the first team.
This is a UCONN fan discussion page not a AEH fan page. Relax, just looked through the thread no one is resentful or wishing any ill will towards AEH. Rather they’re happy for her...and you’re getting worked up for what? Are you her relative or something lol.
You guys have to realize @GRIFFBIFF20 is a Griffin fan, an Ossining Fan (which would include Chong and AEH). Not really a UCONN fan. After Griffin graduates, @GRIFFBIFF20 will probably move on too. We just have to put up with him/her? for a couple more years.@GRIFFBIFF20 I think you would have more fun on a seton hall women's basketball forum.
I don't know. Back in the mid 70's, we managed to find plenty of cold beer at the Ft. Irwin NCO Club!A nice little cluster of awards. A nice start for our freshman. Nika has to add some offense to her repetoire and she'll be raking in awards too. Starting on UConn's team is about as fine as it gets for a freshman. Rare as ice cubes in the Mohave.

You get these kind of fans every so often. They are only here for their pet player(s). And they are usually very biased and very defensive about how their pet player(s) is/are treated.
I'm glad AEH could find a place where she could excel. Good for her.
You're right @meyers7 . I too am glad AEH found a place to thrive...and said that in an earlier post. Things just didn't work out for her at UCONN...for what ever reason...but clearly not for discussion in this thread intended to celebrate the recognition of the success of the Huskies this year. I asked nicely to please stop...but that was ignored. As Thomas Paine said... "To argue with a person who has renounced the use of reason is like administering medicine to the dead."You guys have to realize @GRIFFBIFF20 is a Griffin fan, an Ossining Fan (which would include Chong and AEH). Thank you for your understanding. (PS - I am really a UCONN Fan, and root for every player that has come thru, going back to 1985. Yes, I do have my favorites, such as Stephanie Dolson, Stewy, Bird, and the Ossining Trio, as anyone who comes into and thru the program from New York State). However, I don't subscribe to the feeling by many on here that "GENO IS GOD" (personally, I believe that Geno's coaching style has passed him by with "Today's Players". YES, he has gotten a couple of coup's with Paige and Fudd, but, unless Geno changes his style, I fear that more of what happened with the recruiting class of 2017 will happen again in the future). You guys have to realize @GRIFFBIFF20 is a Griffin fan, an Ossining Fan (which would include Chong and AEH). I have to disagree with you on this point. HS recruits (attitudes), IMO have changed steadily, starting with the so-called 'dry years' for UCONN recruiting (2016 thru......). One can see this in the way he goes about motivating players, compared to the years past. He admits that he had to. He was twice as hard on his players years ago and it worked. We developed into the (arguably) best program in WCBB because of his style and methods for recruiting. Maybe those 'dry years' was when he realized that he would have to change in order to keep the program as a viable contender for championships. And today, well....................here we are! Who has done it better?Thank you for your understanding. (PS - I am really a UCONN Fan, and root for every player that has come thru, going back to 1985. Point taken and well respected. I will just wait until the 2022/2023 Season to see where those current freshman, incoming freshman for 2021/2022 season, and this season's sophomores are, at that time, to make any further comment.I have to disagree with you on this point.
