Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Wentz, Roethlisberger, Ryan, Newton, Wilson, Stafford, Luck, Rivers, Cousins, Winston, Mariotta, Carr, Goff, Watson, Smith.

And you could probably make a case for Garoppolo, Prescott, Dalton, Flacco. So that's somewhere around 18-22 QBs

This is hilarious. Opinion is a wonderful thing I won’t even argue these you had me in stitches with many of the last 10. I mean even though it’s a small sample you could’ve thrown Garoppolo in I would’ve respected your opinion a bit more. If you even think you can make an argument for Prescott, dalton or Flacco you’re whacked. I need to know what Rivers, Cousins, Mariotta and even Stafford have ever done? Winston eh Lucks better for sure but he doesn’t get on the field, Carr has a lot to prove Goff a lot to prove Watson a lot to prove.

Not a good list

No you don't understand, I actually feel bad about how good we are. I don't deserve this. Our division rivals deserve it a little bit because of all the Lombardi jokes, but I can relate to fanbases who are pumped about drafting a guard in the second round because that's all been us at one point. The Giants are the new year, new me everyman that can feel good about striving to be the best version of themselves. They're better today than they were yesterday and we're all happy for them.

This is some of the weirdest bragging I've ever seen.

But at least you kept it to less than 40 paragraphs for once.

I ended up rooting for the Eagles in the Super Bowl because, like most true Americans, I hate the Patriots; and because I have a good friend who is a long-suffering Eagles fan and I thought it would be nice if he finally got to see a championship. But I knew the end result would be a fan base that would make anyone pine for a legion of pink hat Sox fans instead.

This is precisely why I *said* I was going to root for the Patriots. To my surprise, however, once the game started I couldn't do it. (It's not that I *hate* the Patriots; I'm just incredibly *bored* with them.) Oh well.

Since you asked:

Rivers: 4,515/28/10/96.0
Stafford: 4,446/29/10/99.3
Cousins: 4,093/27/13/93.9
Mariotta: 3,232/13/15/79.3
Manning: 3,468/19/13/80.4

I'll give you some of the Watson/Goff/Dak guys as a toss up. But those guys are trendng up and Eli is on the end of his career trending down

If you're a Giants fan, there's really no reason to hate the Pats. ("Scoreboard" takes care of a lot of regional rivalry angst...)
Pats fans huff/puff about their greatness (rightfully), but their winning the AFC actually gives the Giants their best chance to win the Super Bowl...

Yeah, @nomar said it more accurately for me; it’s more that I’m bored with the Pats. I really had no rooting interest in either team and had a slight preference for the Pats until game day for the reasons you both mention, but when we were preparing the Roast Pork Italian Special sandwiches for our Super Bowl feast I realized that my Eagles fan friend had turned me on to that wonderful sandwich, so I threw him a bone and decided to root for the Eagles instead. And Foles was a good story too; much more interesting than Brady.

So the efforts of guys like Elliott are not to be considered because they didn't win a Super Bowl
Walter Payton never won a NFL championship
I really don't remember any running back that carried a team to a Super Bowl never mind win one
You don't like the pick I get it but it made a ton of sense vs the quality of the qbs at that spot

That wasn't my point. Its that, in the modern era, the teams that win it typically don't have an absolute stud back. So combining:
1. you are more likely to win if you spend less money on RB--more money for other spots
2. Having the elite back isn't necessary to win--ie it's a luxury.

And I love the player, just not at the money.

My beloved Steelers finally got it together after a curious R1. Washington and Rudolph were steals...didn’t like the OT with our 2nd 3rd round pick, but we’ll see.

I wanted Rudolph for the Pats. That was a good pick in the 3rd. Who knows if he'll pan out, but it's a great risk at that spot.

Kyle Lauletta, I like the pick. I had him ranked higher than Rudolph so I'm very happy they were able to get him

Hey when you dump all of your chips into a 2 year window why not waste another pick on a project QB.

Was MVP of the Senior Bowl for what that is worth.

Why? I never watched him, but most every QB ranking I saw had Rudolph Top6, even tied with Top5 guys. Lauletta almost always near the end of the Top 10.

I don't know enough about every single QB to make enough of a distinction. So he very well could be a better prospect for all I know.

Wow you're not really going to give me last years stats are you? With no offensive line, no running game and all of his receivers out for basically 80% of their games last year I won't even go there nor should you. What I will say is if he was really as bad as you say then Shurmur and Gettlemen would've gone a different direction. I will go with their expertise on this one lol.

By the way I didn't ask.;)

Rudolph was usually the number 6 guy everywhere, but I'm not sold on him. His accuracy is not great and I'm always leery of Big 12 QBs. I think Rudolph may end up being a decent QB but it's going to take a few years.

Lauletta is going to be a bit of a project though, he's really athletic and used that to his advantage in college. Not a great deep ball but short to medium throws he's accurate and has a strong arm. With Shepard and OBJ I view that as more important than Rudolph who has a better deep ball.

The biggest adjustment for him is going to be very similar to Mayfield in that he will need to learn to stay in the pocket a little more to make the throws because he won't be able to outrun defenders like he did in college. Who knows if he's able to reach the ceiling but I think if he hits the ceiling you're looking at an Alex Smith type, accurate short/medium passes and the occasional run when things break down

I like Eli and I'm happy he's here. But reality is he's an average QB at best now. Last year he was well below average for the reasons you mentioned. I think he'll be much better this year, but he's been objectively below average the past few years.

Lauletta has everything you want in a QB except for arm strength. They must think they can improve it through slight adjustments in his mechanics or strength training.

I’m a student at Richmond. Can say Lauletta has been a stud, but senior bowl definitely helped him to get drafted in large part.
