OT: Let's adopt another team...temporarily

I've already been hanged for expressing my view on this, but I'll be with Kansas from here on. I do like this Marquette team and I am thrilled to see Indiana climbing back where they belong.
I like Kansas. But they've won recently. And we're tied historically with them for titles. I'd like to not have them get a lead.

Indiana. Classy fans when we had our four years series recently and they are lined up to play UK again, who they already beat this year.

This is obvious. We have to pull for Iowa State. First, they are the team that beat us. Kudos to them and supporting them shows we are good sports. Plus, the better they do, thebetter we look. Finally, they are playing Kentucky.

Even though we have Kansas friends on the board (beakum!), I'm also going to throw my lot with Mizzou. This team has yet to be in the Final Four, and their coach hasn't been at Mizzou long enough to start cheating (which is perhaps a strike against them).

And to think they hanged me. Mizzou is right with Kentucky on my hate list.

  • Indiana - Yes, nothing bad about IU I can think of
  • Michigan State - Yes, love Izzo
  • Louisville - Yes, I like Siva and b/c it would piss off UK and SU fans
  • Marquette - No, can't stand the bald man
  • Mizzou - No, not a fan of their coach
  • Kansas - No, though I do like Robinson
  • Georgetown - God no
  • Michigan - I don't think they are legit
  • Ohio State - No, their fans are horrid
  • Florida State - If they weren't an ACC team, yes. They are, so no
  • VCU - my write-in.

I'm saying VCU (the little guy with all the appeal) and Marquette (keep the trophy in the Big East).

I wll root for the following in this order:
1. Iowa St (to beat Kentucky)
2. Missouri to win it all (like how they play)

I will root for the opponents of these teams:
1. Kentucky
2. Syracuse
3. Dook
4. UNC

I suppose we should pick a team that has a board we can actually post on....

Ground rules:

They should probably be a team that can actually win it (goodbye all under-4 seeds)
They shouldn't be a team whose championship would be irritating on the whole, and perhaps disrupt our recruiting (goodbye Syracuse, UNC, Duke, UK).
They should play an enjoyable style (goodbye Wisconsin)
They should not make us leery of cheating (goodbye Baylor)

This leaves us with:
  • Indiana
  • Michigan State
  • Louisville
  • Marquette
  • Mizzou
  • Kansas
  • Georgetown
  • Michigan
  • Ohio State
  • Florida State
Thoughts...

I'm going to go with Louisville simply because it would make UK fans suicidal.

Let's get on the Vandy bandwagon. They did god's work in the SEC championship plus I've got money on that pony.

I'm down with Mizzou, Marquette or Indiana. Any of those three would be fine choices.

Anyone that plays against Kentucky

Can I add "Anybody who plays the traitor Cuse"? They couldn't get their grubby paws on the BE trophy. There is no reason why we can't direct the mojo toward keeping them from winning The Dance as well. Pitt sucked this year.....good riddance! We knocked West Va. out of the BE; and they left The Dance with a whimper. Good Riddance as well. I'm hoping K-State puts a hurtin' on Boeheim's Melo-less asshats! :)

GO HUSKIES!!!

Yes. And has more than 10 fans bickering amongst themselves.

I am adopting Mizzou and Vandy. Like watching both of them play and it wouldn't bother me if either one won the whole thing. I can't stand Louisville and I don't want any of the other "big time" programs to add another national title to their total.

Any Big East team current (except Syracuse) or future (Temple, Memphis), preferably Marquette.

Count me in for any non-scummy Big East team (aka not Syracuse)- present or future:

Marquette, Cincy, Louisville, South Florida, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Temple or Memphis.

^^^ Notre Dame. Not a true Big East team. Ever. Let 'em rot.

USF I'd root for though.

Cincy and Marquette.

Especially since they both looked awesome in their first round games.
