Last year was a weirdly interesting match up in a down year and they got beat. Kind of a few things coming together.

This year - they had a 9 point lead and then just tried talenting themselves out of problems. They were lucky to get to OT tonight and this one is a little worse. ND literally gave them every possible opportunity to win the game.

Come on, the game shouldn't have even been close. ND and Miss St. outplaying them the whole game two years in a row when you are head and shoulders the best team is a choke. When you get bailed out and still lose both games in OT, it's an even bigger choke.

I’ve never even been to the womens’s board, I just can’t believe the amount of trashing Geno and this team are getting for losing two FF games. I know that the expectations are high, but c’mon be realistic. Their accomplishments are amazing.

Theres a difference between trashing Geno and criticizing him, sometimes the greatest coaches get out coached like Belichick in the Superbowl, this will probably make Geno a better coach going forward.

This is a spectacularly talented group of girls, and I feel like a huge piece of crap criticizing a group that went undefeated and rode to a Final Four. But if we want actual, real, legitimate 'break the glass ceiling' things in women's sports - to me the best sign of that is giving a women's sports team a heap of criticism. This was bad tonight. No getting around it.

Notre Dame came to play, but they were up 9. In cruise control. And then just like they did last year - had this tendency to lose wherever the gas pedal was. It's weird because people don't see it in the 30 point blow outs... but they got outscored by good teams for entire halves in early blow outs. There were times where they'd just take the fists down. And you see it in those games and you hear Geno talking about it in pressers and you don't pay heed.

And then you see these games. And you see why its so costly.

Look - again - immensely talented group. Just absolute choke jobs that lots of players on this team didn't fully absorb that should be absorbed. Need to find some nails next year, because this group just lacks a real edge.

I know it's incredibly unpopular around here but I've felt this way for a long time. I remember that one season where they lost all three times to ND during the season, it was the same thing at the end of every game. Players were unbelievably tight and Geno disappeared. Luckily Geno is so good at coaching them up and Breanna Stewart was so good that they found themselves and blew out ND and everyone else on their way to the title.

Over the last five years, they are the most successful team in all of sports.

Not in all of basketball. IN ALL OF SPORTS! And then I've gotta read some knuckleheads talk about lack of in-game coaching and killer instinct. The type of people who act like UConn didn't already win more than 10 games this year against top 25 competition.

They don't know because they aren't fans. That's the worst part. They just want to have something to say...
