Interesting multi post thread/
As hard as it is to believe, this case gets stranger by the daySo the claim is that the jury was unanimous in voting Not Guilty on 2 counts and split on 1 count. If a defendant can be acquitted on 2 charges while the jury is hung on the 3rd charge, how can this result happen? Did everyone just assume the jury was hung on all 3 charges, or was the judge at fault? Very bizarre.

Aunt Bev never asked about the three and the defense should’ve pressed it. Thought the D did a good job throughout but missed an opportunity hereSo the claim is that the jury was unanimous in voting Not Guilty on 2 counts and split on 1 count. What!!!! I thought deliberations were private?? They were when I was in a juryGot stranger today.
Rumor is that the trooper in the jury room
( guess that’s a thing) during deliberations was one of the guys on the infamous Proctor text thread and was feeding details of their deliberation to the McAlberts.
This From Sean McDonough - not the sports one
Is he an accurate source. Some of the stuff he reports is almost too crazy to believeGot stranger today.

Is that really how it works? To me it seems the court really effed up the process. Yes, the defense should have been screaming for a penalty but how can the court and the defense miss this?Aunt Bev never asked about the three and the defense should’ve pressed it. Hard to tell. He’s been right on a lot. Think he’s got pretty good inside baseballIs he an accurate source. Some of the stuff he reports is almost too crazy to believe
I heard him reporting that Brian Albert ripped up his basement floor a few months after the event!! And that someone went to the lawyer's office in Boston and told him about the issues in the house. Also heard him talking about a chain of title issue with the taillight...If someone wrote this as a movie, we'd say it's too far fetched to be believedHard to tell. He’s been right on a lot. I agree that the deceased's brother seemed very sincere. Without an eyeball witness or video, you just can't know. Why involuntary manslaughter though? They can't prove she hit him, and even if she did, maybe it was just an accident. I just don't see the evidence for any conviction. The deceased brother was pretty convincing in his post-trial interviews and Karen Read's actions (shut off all contact) with his family could be indicative of a guilty conscience & certainly evidence not caring. I'm back to thinking she drunkenly hit him and there was also likely shenanigans inside the house that exacerbated the situation. Involuntary manslaughter seems appropriate for her. The rest of the situation even muddier to ever know much less prove what happened next/last.
But how can u admit evidence without a strict chain of title???The basement thing has been reported a bunch.
Evidence chain of custody was loose, almost non existent and one of the many reasons Proctor will soon be a mall cop in Braintree
