The NCAA is a garbage organization and I understand someone who wants nothing to do with it. So yeah, I can see someone just walking away from it all. There is no “opting out.” That would require that he had an option. He did not. He quit. And he is a quitter.

Maybe he quit because it was in his personal interest, but people fulfill duties to others all the time that aren’t in their personal interests because they committed to do so.

Totally agree. Piling on kids who have devoted their lives to what amounts to our entertainment is poor form. Even if they are Dukies. Certainly not our own guys.
