Providence is not a terrible job. They stepped up decently on NIL this season, and have shown they are patient unless the coach is a complete embarrassment, like English.

Not a bad place for a coach to cruise into the sunset.

Syracuse? New Chancellor who is sports oriented, will be new AD, coach out, not BE, a better job not geographically) than BC(U)
The Hurley name still has resonance.

Did it really make a difference for ASU to announce this now instead of in a week?

Yes, ISU is good, but they are completely phoning it in with the AD having given up on the season.

.-.
If Bobby can't find a job and is open to weather as horrible as it gets compared to Tempe, I would love to see him at my alma mater in Binghamton - as a replacement for Danny's SHU buddy, Levell Sanders.

They raise a good point re: Bryan Hodgson likely getting plucked by one of the bigger schools (Syracuse), which would give Bobby Hurley a landing spot at USF, though I sorta doubt Hodgson will leave USF for Providence.

It's amazing to me that one video can be so incredibly sad and yet so incredibly funny at the same time.
I was hoping someone would instantly post this, and now that I've just seen it again, I felt so sad for him while his head was down, and then I burst out laughing the moment he answered. If only there was a mechanism for him to get sympathy royalties for each time somebody laughs.

Does it help if I tell you that he got food poisoning at Chipotle and this was still his answer?

Maybe he could use the money to, oh I don't know, go out and get something to eat?

A best friend went to BC undergrad, I wanted to go there for grad school, to be closer to family/friends

... in the end BC did me a favor of a lifetime, in every way imaginable

Wait, Carroll didn't admit you but you got into Fuqua? Yeah I'd say they did you a favor! I looked at Fuqua but I just couldn't see myself at Duke. No way I was ever wearing that Duke shirt you had on in one of those pictures. 😂 I went to Michigan instead (before it was called Ross).

I got rejected from Michigan, Rochester, UNC Keenan-Flagler, Wharton and Haas (Cal Berkeley, where I really saw myself at that time) and BC

Got in to Duke and Columbia

Michigan props for you, and my boy Larry!

Providence is not a job to cruise into the sunset. They have a facility, they have resources, they have expectations. if you don’t win now, you are out. I don’t think they are as patient now as in the past. Providence is a job you have to work your ass off to succeed and if you do, something big awaits. This should always be a job for a rising star, not someone looking to cruise.
