OT: Best Live Album

I suppose the album that had by far the most profound effect on me when I was a child and changed the way I thought was Pete Seeger...We shall overcome.

Some Great ones here. I’m on board with:
Frampton Comes Alive (saw him recently, still great live)
Allman Bros. - Fillmore
Little Feat - Waiting for Columbus
Kinks - One for the Road

I’d add Cheap Trick - Budokahn (they were the double bill with Frampton when I saw him)

Yeah he was a kid then too.

Steve Marriot and Mark Farner 2 of the most prolific hard rock lead singers, great voices from yesteryear.

Steve Marriot was an incredible singer and performer. I saw him live at Dillon Stadium in '73. Couple of good opening acts ---J. Geils Band and Peter Frampton.

That's the one with Branford Marsalis playing on Eyes of the World. Very nice
No it's not. That would be "without a net"

Live dead is from 69 and is the last word on psychedelia

Both great albums. Very different bands though

Correct. I screwed up. I am listening to Branford now, so it's all good.

Lynard Skynard -One More From the Road

Some great mentions. I’ll add these to ones I’ve listened to a lot
Hendrix Band of Gypsys

Was at that concert in Hartford - I went because my two favorite albums at that space in time (besides The GD and Allman Bros) were Rock'n the Fillmore and Full House
It was 4th of July Weekend and I remember bs'n my parents about being invited to a friends party to go

And:
stevie ray vaughan albert king in session

1) that’s not really “live”
2) that album drives me nuts. It should be an all-timer, but King’s guitar is out of tune the whole time. It’s agonizing to anyone with an ear for tuning.

Gonna go with either Hooverphonic - With Orchestra or Above and Beyond - Acoustic.
