Pretty nice to tell the recruits they're going to get to play against UCONN twice a year if your the other AAC schools.........;)..........sounds like a line someone we know used when he went all over the country recruiting vs his BE opponents huh?

A rising tide lifts all boats

At the end of the day, the AAC will have 8 or 9 of the top 100, including players from top to bottom.

At least.

#5 Mudiay - SMU
#17 Hamilton - UCONN
#71 McGee - Memphis
#96 Tejada - ECU

Doesn't include Purvis.

Quadri Moore 84? Is a question mark still but looks likely to Cincy

I agree with Geno. The AAC will get better ( at least in college bb ) because we're in it. Not the only factor but an important one.
Hey Dream, my dream is that the AAC gets strong enough to routinely scrub the floor with many ACC teams.

Central Florida lands local kid Alex Owens (ESPN, No. 44) -- terrific big man in Class of 2015. Told ESPN he committed earlier today.

2014 Oak Ridge (FL) PF Alex Owens has verbally committed to UCF, according to @GoodmanESPN.

Big addition for Central Florida's Donnie Jones, who beat out NC State, Florida, Providence, Maryland & others for 2015 4-star PF Alex Owens

UCF is beating out Florida and Louisville for the 2015 kids it just nabbed. Two in the top 100. We've now seen SMU, Houston, Memphis and UCF grab very good top 100 kids.Cincy grabbed two in the last week.

I'm not sure about all the gloom & doom when it comes to the AAC. From the talent it's bringing in, it should be at least as good as the new Big East.

Newton/Manziel effect with a little Larry Brown thrown in.

It's been shown that you can pay players and cheat without penalty.

I looked at (An)OS ranking for the last couple years breaking down the new recruits by stat to the AAC compared to NBE. This doesn't include Louisville or Rutgers.

AAC:

2013
7 recruits ranked 101-150: UConn, Temple, SMU (2), Memphis, USF, Cincy
4 recruits ranked 51-100: UConn, Memphis (2), USF
3 recruits ranked 21-50: Memphis (3)
2 recruits ranked 1-20: Cincy, SMU

2014
3 recruits ranked 101-150: USF, Cincy, Houston
4 recruits ranked 51-100: Memphis, Cincy, ECU, Temple
2 recruits ranked 1-20: SMU, UConn

NBE

2013:
5 recruits ranked 101-150: Nova (2) , Butler, DePaul, Marquette
4 recruits ranked 51-100: Marquette (2), G'town, St. John's
1 recruit ranked 21-50: Marquette

2014:
5 recruits ranked 101-150: Nova, Xavier (2), G'town, Seton Hall
7 recruits ranked 51-100: PC (2), Marquette (2), G'town (2), Nova
2 recruits ranked 21-50: G'town, Seton Hall

Overall:

AAC:
4 recruits 1-20
3 recruits 21-50
8 recruits 51-100
10 recruits 101-150

NBE:
0 recruits 1-20
3 recruits 21-50
11 recruits 51-100
10 recruits 101-150

I didn't include transfers like Purvis in this. It should also be noted that UCF has the very early start for 2015 over everyone with two verbals in the top 100. One top 50, one top 100.
