Since most of this thread is arbitrary guesses based entirely on last season, I'll do some digging. Here's what I've got:
My player to watch is Roman Sorkin. 6'10" center from Israel. He had 23 pts on 8-9 shooting against Coppin St. 4-5 from 3. Sat out the last two games and most of second with a minor foot injury. I'd expect him to play Thursday.
Payton Pritchard is the lone returning starter from last year. 6'2" guard we should match up really well with. He's shooting it really well this year, seems very solid through their first four games. 12.5 pts 5.8 ast.
Victor Bailey is a 6'4" frosh guard, top 100 recruit, who could be a matchup issue since our entire team is comprised of undersized guards and forwards. Again, looking alright in early going shooting 35% from 3 and 12.5 ppg. He probably comes off the bench.
Troy Brown was their big 5 star recruit this year. Ranked just outside the top 10. He's 6'7" but was often listed as a PG as a recruit, but he's definitely playing 3/4 for Oregon this year. He's looked solid for the most part this year, but was quiet against Ball St. I'd imagine we'd match up well here.
Neither team has a big size advantage, we both have a good amount of depth. Many of our best players haven't really touched a high major opponent in their career. Hopefully they rise to the occasion here.
