Open Practice Tuesday

Your mistake is thinking that I owe you or anyone else anything. I don't. I've heard from multiple people that this was the case. Who they are matters less considering it's the same story over and over again.

A.K.A Gossip, heresay, or rumors.

So at this point anyone who says or hears anything negative about Ollie even if it be from the guy bagging groceries should be posted in the Boneyard as long as it is to keep up the negative agenda??

So anyone can say the heard chatter about the coach? Or is it only if it smears Ollie ?

Don’t make statements about a man regarding his being at practice online for the world to see unless you know it for fact.. Regardless if he is a terrible coach or not..

Yes. I said chatter for a reason. I didn't say that I know it for a fact. I also predicated the statement with "for what it's worth"

If we weren't allowed to post rumors and rumblings there would be no need for a messageboard.

Negative agenda? The team is terrible and people are blaming KO. This is a message board, it's not a court of law. Rumors outside of transfer speculation are fine and should obviously be taken with a grain of salt. Defending KO so fanatically from someone impugning his reputation by saying he shows up late to practice seems a little much.

Oh so if you put “heard it’s chatter “ in front of a smear rumor you publicized its OK.?

Good thing nobody heard any chatter about you and your work ethic... I bet you would not like it if someone did, then put it on the website for your employer and your customers without any proof or facts to back it up.

Ollie has done a terrible job and should be gone. But acting like a teenager spreading rumors is just such a low level to go.

Only season ticket holders

And has to RSVP invite

Interesting. I am a season ticket holder. I need to check my email. I should have been contacted then.

FWIW I've heard a lot of chatter about him showing up late and leaving early
This is extremely hard to believe. I would guess even the people in the Fire Ollie court would admit that lack of effort is not one of this man's flaws.

I hope some BY'ers go and take studious notes, and are ready to report back within the week.

This will be very enlightening. Just the same I also think it could be the most active Ollie is all year in practice, you know...because people are there to see.

Still, lets see what he is trying to teach the kids, how hard everyone works, etc.
You have to know how to navigate the terrain when participating in functions like this (Open Practice). Look at it this way...There is a reason Yellowstone is closed during the winter. It is dangerous. Does that mean if you were one of a group of people to get a two hour tour of Yellowstone during the winter that you wouldn't see some wildlife? I bet my life on it we could see a few wolves in a pack depending on where you look.

This practice is no different. It is all about OPPORTUNITY. Kathy and others very easily could be the ones that witness that rare sighting and get to interact with it. Think a snowy white owl per se packing on a few pounds or any number of other possibilities.

Ya feel'in me bro?

Just checked my email. Never got the invite. Does anyone know who I can contact to RSVP. I would really like to sit through a practice.

I’ve actually heard from multiple sources that the practices are intense to the point that players become disengaged from exhaustion. FWIW

It’s for season ticket holders and donors of a specific ammount. I imagine its based off priority points.

Maybe. That has nothing to do with a coach showing up on later than everyone or being the first out the door, though

What do you think messageboard are for? It sounds like you're just not cut out for this internet thing

Look at how people treated Zionn and 99 and then look at how often they post anymore. They'll pop up now and again but they're not an active part of the community anymore and I assume it's because they got trashed repeatedly by the pollyannas

At least one admitted they had an agenda, which undeniably compromises the “inside information” they chose to reveal.

.-.
Well FWIW that's not what I hear from my multiple verifiable sources.
It's definitely possible. As I said earlier I just heard the same story from a few people who don't know each other

Have you ever played D1 sports? Ever coach D1 sports?
Head coaches, for the most part, come and go during practice because they have a ton of other things on their plates. This isn't high school sports.
Quite a few sit and observe while their assistants and guest coaches run practices. That's why they have these coaches.
The individual coaches are assigned to specific drills and these practices are filmed, the HC and coaches go over the film as a whole and look at players and critique each breakdown unit.
Listen, we all know that you want KO gone Mick but this attempt at cutting him is mind blowing.

Throw it out and see if it sticks, right?

I don't have a problem with you sharing what you heard. Some people are clearly oversensitive.

But how could the people have that inside information NOT know each other?

You don't have to answer if you are worried about outing a source, but that's a confusing thing to say. Is the circle of people who know when he arrives and leaves practice so large that the people there don't know each other? Doesn't seem logical.

True or not, the reactions are hilarious. As if 1) fans just needed an admittedly unsubstantiated anonymous internet rumor before hopping off the Ollie bandwagon, or 2) Benedict needed the same before pulling the trigger on that buyout. LMAO

This "practice" will likely be nothing more than a show, with not a lot of coaching on. Why would he do this in the middle of a terrible season? Am I supposed to feel better about the Spartacus-show I watch during the games because I get to go see Ollie run a practice? This is a baffling decision.

WingU this issue seems like one going down a slippery slope. You are providing analysis with the intent to find a legit conclusion.

I forsee a mock trial on the horizon via the Boneyard so we can get to the bottom of this credibility issue at hand.

Let me know if you and JMick want to engage in some discourse. Maybe I can help.

You ask pertinent questions filled with some probing details. Also understand that our compliance rep will be there to shield the vulnerable from various sharks who have an inherent talent at circumventing the system to get the who, why and how answers. Think F Lee Bailey on steroids.

Let’s just respect the process. :)

it's pretty simple. for example

I know John. John knows a staff member/athletic department person/a player/former player/friend of a player, etc. John tells me he heard rumor 'x.'

Then I'm talking to someone on the boneyard. Boneyard member mentions the same rumor 'x' that John told me about.

Then I talk to my coworker. Coworker also mentions rumor 'x.' So I know for certain that John and coworker are not the same person. Could John or the coworker be the boneyard member I talked to? It's highly unlikely, but even if true there's still two separate sources repeating rumor 'x'

That doesn't mean the rumor didn't originate from the same place, but given the circumstances it's pretty unlikely. It also doesn't make the rumor true, but it does lend a little more credibility. Especially when John, Boneyard member, and coworker are usually on the same page in terms of stories/rumors/information
