Of course I am rooting for JB here. How spoiled and arrogant of Syracuse fans to want to kick him to the curb after 47 years of service to the program. Poor Jim
Lamoooo saying bye to Cuse was part of his “great day”Looks like Edwards announced this morning that he isn't coming back. He's the 2nd.

I dunno. So here is the guy @jake who is pretty plugged in and was the one who ran with the retirement scenario with Red taking over, here is his new info:
Boy is this great!

I dunno.
Seems like a pretty crummy way to end both his and JoeG3's Syracuse careers.
I'm hopeful they can arrange a package deal for both to return next year, perhaps marketing it as a Double Legends farewell.
Kinda like this:

Dead & Co. to play benefit at Barton Hall, honoring legendary ’77 show | Cornell Chronicle
Exactly 46 years since they trucked into Cornell and delivered one of the most iconic and beloved performances of their long, strange career, remaining members of the Grateful Dead will return, as Dead & Company, to play a fundraiser concert in Barton Hall on May 8.news.cornell.edu
If Joe sticks around for another year, he's gotta be on track to finish with the most career games played, games started, and minutes played. And I'm pretty sure JB has said that Girard is like the son he always wished had, or something close.
Fingers crossed.
Not a fan of the Barton Hall deal. Love the show obviously. Gratuitous nostalgia is the antithesis of the in the moment ethos that makes that music great.
Im all for a Girard/Boeheim Farewell tour though.
You think it’s a bad idea, but it’s snot.Think it will be a snooze fest IMO.
Sounds like he is out. Said he gave his retirement speech last week but no one figured it out.
Who would've ever thought that our greatest ally in our mission to destroy the syracuse program would be Jim Boeheim.

Contract is expired according to some dude on the Syracuse forum. There is no contract to honor.JB is a media master. Make the AD be the bad guy. Brilliant.the AD has 3 options:
1) Be the bad guy and be hated by your prime boosters..until you get fired in a year
2) Honor JB's contact and exteend it to a lifetime cushy Advisory role where his shadow will loom heavily over the poor bastard who replaces him
3) Asking him to coach again....( the best option)
Prime Jimmy on display today.
Syracuse has the 183rd ranked recruiting class for 2023 with a 7’2” unranked project as the only commit. If they start losing players to the portal there is no reason to keep Boehiem around. It isn’t like they lose high ranked commits. Now is the timeJB is a media master. Make the AD be the bad guy. Brilliant.the AD has 3 options:

Great news if true. The between games CBB guys on ESPN right now are saying Boeheim has one more year left on his contract. They said that more than once.
